Eboni K. Williams is clarifying the issue of her suspended law license as she also challenges the “desperate” people who are trying to “cancel” her.

News came out that the attorney and Real Housewives of New York City cast member no longer had an active license to practice law. At one point, she was licensed by the state of North Carolina, but her license has since been suspended.

Once the news began to make the rounds on social media, Eboni took to Instagram Live to address the matter. She also gave a statement to Reality Blurb to explain the issue.

“I haven’t lived or practiced law in North Carolina since 2011, so I became inactive/suspended in that state when I stopped paying the annual fees to continue a license there,” explained Eboni to Reality Blurb.  “There is nothing more to it — that is the whole story. Despite attempts to frame this salacious…it’s entirely routine.”

During her Instagram Live on July 19, Eboni also questioned those who looked into the status of her license in the first place.

“I’m a woman of faith and what I know is that desperate times can call for desperate measures,” she shared. “And unfortunately, this particular moment has caused some desperation for some folks.”

According to Eboni, she has plans to “rectify the suspended status,” and she has already contacted the North Carolina state bar, who provided her with the steps she needs to take in order for them to change the status to “inactive.”

Eboni also took accountability for the issue.

“I was caught slipping by way of the status,” she stated. “I’m owning it and I’m facing it.”

However, though she didn’t name any names, the Revolt Black News host challenged those who have been trying to discredit her or ruin her reputation.

“I am one of the most credible people in the world and I say that humbly,” she declared. “So, good luck trying to discredit me.”

She also had a few more words for the haters who are trying to “cancel” her.

“I wish y’all much luck if you are in the business of trying to impeach me or cancel me in some way that I am in any way unfit or lacking authority to do the work that I do in this place I do it. My luck to you,” she snarked. “You will fail!”

In more RHONY news, Eboni is also denying a recent report that claimed she was trying to get her costar Ramona Singer demoted or fired while supposedly trying to sabotage the show.

After Reality Blurb shared the report, which was originally written by another outlet, Eboni commented under our Instagram post to deny the claims.

She wrote: “All lies. Literally every single headline here is a complete untruth. Stay blessed and have a blessed weekend ????????????.”
