The Real Housewives of New York City ladies have been making headlines for weeks as rumors about the show’s future continue to swirl. Nevertheless, it seems Sonja has a backup plan just in case she’s not asked back next season because she’s launching her very own cabaret show.
According to Radar Online, the reality star is currently holding auditions for her Sonja In Your City show, and the preview performance is set to take place on August 25.
As fans well know, her longtime pal and co-star, Luann de Lesseps, also has her own successful show, so it’s obvious where Sonja got the idea from. However, unlike Countess & Friends, Sonja will only perform at various comedy clubs in New York City, as opposed to Luann, who takes her show on the road.
Though Sonja hasn’t had the best of luck with her previous business ventures, the Sonja In Your City idea makes sense considering she has made several appearances in Luann’s cabaret. Unfortunately, though, those said appearances caused a rift in Sonja’s relationship with Luann after she claimed she was not being paid for her services. They’ve since made up, but it’s unclear how Luann will react to this latest news.
Meanwhile, in other RHONY news, Rihanna hopped on Instagram to support Leah and her Married to the Mob clothing line after the singer’s name was dropped during the July 27 episode.
The “Umbrella” singer posted a photo of herself wearing a shirt designed by Leah, along with a clip of the scene where Ramona Singer offered to help promote Leah’s line during an argument about whether the women should have signed contracts prior to being featured on Luann’s Christmas song.
“Let me promote Leah Mob or Mob something,” Ramona said in the clip. Then, Leah fired back, “You aren’t exactly my demographic, so it’s all good.”
The 38-year-old snidely added, “I already have Rihanna wearing my sh*t. You think I need you wearing my sh*t?”
Rihanna captioned the post, “What was said [Ramona Singer]?” along with a laughing while crying emoji.
Leah commented, “I love you so much,” and Ramona has since reshared the post on her own Instagram account.
The Real Housewives of New York City season 13 airs Tuesday nights on Bravo at 9/8c.
