RHONY: Dorinda Medley Explains "Bad Season" 12 Drama With Tinsley, Says She Reached Out to Her After Split From Scott and Shares Regret of Show, Plus If She’ll Return

Dorinda Medley explains why she was unable to support Tinsley Mortimer‘s relationship with Scott Kluth and shares whether she’d return to the show before revealing if she has any regrets from her time on The Real Housewives of New York City

As fans well know, Dorinda was fired following a tumultuous season 12, which included her throwing some rather cruel jabs at Tinsley after the socialite announced she had reconciled with her then-boyfriend, Scott. But in a new interview, Dorinda said she wishes her former co-star well before revealing she actually reached out to Tinsley after her breakup with Scott.

“I like Tinsley and I wish Tinsley well,” she said on Danny Pellegrino‘s Everything Iconic podcast. “I actually called her, or texted her,  right after the whole [breakup] happened.”

Nevertheless, after the host pointed out that Dorinda had a “bad season” due to her issues with Tinsley, she claimed it was simply because she was telling the truth about Tinsley and Scott’s relationship.

” I just think for me, let’s talk about me, what you guys see, good, bad, or otherwise, is the truth,” she explained before noting her willingness to be open about her own personal life. “And I just found it a little bit awkward considering the history we all knew that we just couldn’t have an honest conversation. And as women, how we would be supporting a situation, which probably, I didn’t believe, was going to be healthy. But that was my opinion, and I just thought that right, wrong, or the other, was okay to say.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, she was asked if she’d like to return for season 14 of RHONY, but the Make It Nice author said she’s not quite sure if she’s right for the show these days.

“I just don’t know… I would hope I’d be right for the show still,” she shared. “I would hope that I could fit in and be a good character, but I just don’t know. Maybe they’re going in a different direction. Who knows who’s gonna come back next year? Who knows what the show’s gonna look like next year, you know what I’m saying? We’re in a new world now.”

However, she then seemingly changed her mind about her potential return as she threw out her own idea about which direction the series should take.

“Let’s put it this way, I think if you brought back the whole old crew, and maybe the new girls too, and threw them all together, that would be a fun show. And would I want to be on that? Yes!” she quickly exclaimed. “I think it would do well. And it would be the new girls, the old girls, a big cast, have fun, throw ’em all in there.”

She added, “Everyone should loosen up a bit. You know, don’t be worried if someone’s having a drink or having a little bit too much fun. Let the games begin. Come up to Bluestone Manor and put up a Christmas tree. Yeah, I would like to be part of that.”

As for whether Dorinda has any regrets from her time on the show, she admitted that she was “embarrassed” by a few of her drunken incidents. But on the other hand, she believes her behavior was quite hilarious at times.

“I probably [regret] when I got a little too [drunk] with all those drunken speeches, but they were funny,” she said. “Listen, I didn’t hurt anybody, who cares? You know, they were all funny. They turned out fine. They created storylines. The great thing about all those situations, they may have been uncomfortable for others, but we can talk about it for three more episodes.”

“Jovani, Jovani, Jovani!” she continued, referring to her one-time feud with Luann de Lesseps over the designer. “That was a whole season.”
