Denise Richards‘ daughter, Sami Sheen, has reportedly moved out of her home due to a disagreement over “her mother’s rules.”

After the 17-year-old made shocking claims of being “trapped” in an “abusive household” on her TikTok page, an insider claims the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is “incredibly saddened” by Sami’s move into her father Charlie Sheen‘s home, which reportedly came after the teen dropped out of school.

“Sami is a teenager, who didn’t like her mother’s rules,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life on September 10. “Like any mother and household, there are rules in Denise’s. She and Charlie have different rules and styles of parenting, and [they] didn’t see eye to eye.”

Earlier this week, after Sami’s TikTok was released, Charlie told Page Six, via rep Jeff Ballard, that Sami was “amazing” and preparing to get her GED. He also said he loved Sami “unconditionally” and said they were “having a ball.”

“Sami decided she liked Charlie’s rules better and wanted to go and live with her father, where she currently is staying. Denise is incredibly saddened by all of this, but knows she is doing her best as a mother,” the source continued.

Denise and Charlie were married from 2002 until 2006 and share two daughters, including Sami and Lola, 16.

Although things between Denise and Charlie appear strained at the moment as they both do what they believe is best for Sami, things were going quite well just one year ago.

While appearing on Us Weekly’s podcast, Denise, who married her current husband Aaron Phypers in September 2018,  offered an update on her and Charlie’s co-parenting relationship.

“It’s actually good. It’s so much better to just take the high road and try to get along with each other and whatever discord we have had, whatever. That’s something that I never wanted to do,” she said on the episode. “I always want to maintain a really positive healthy relationship. And we are in a great place right now. We have been for a while. It’s been wonderful. Much better than it has been in the past, so I’m grateful for that.”

Denise is also mom to Eloise, 10, who she adopted after her split from Charlie.

Denise quit her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after season 10 in September 2020, following just two seasons on the Bravo reality series.
