Lisa Rinna is understandably struggling to cope with her mother Lois Rinna‘s impending transition.

Just one day after revealing her mom had suffered a stroke and confirming that she and her family had traveled to be with her in her final moments, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member shared a series of videos on her Instagram Story in which she shared her thoughts about death.

“Nobody tells you how to do this. There’s not a handbook, there’s never a way to be ready to let go and when you need to watch it,” she said. “I mean, we’re blessed to be here and to be with her. We’re just not taught that death is okay. It’s never talked about and we’re never told that it’s okay to let go.”

“It’s like a crash course all of the sudden when one of your loved ones is in this position, especially your mom or your dad, and I have such empathy for everyone who’s gone through this,” she added.

In another social media post on November 11, Lisa told her fans and followers that her mom was her “hero” as she was seen dancing to Bette Midler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings” in a throwback video.

In a November 10 message on Instagram, Lisa said that while she was initially going to keep her mother’s condition to herself, she decided to share the news.

“I know how much you appreciate and love Lois so I need to tell you that she has had a stroke,” Lisa wrote. “I am with her now, So [let’s] celebrate her and send her so much love while she transitions.”

Several months prior, in a post also shared on her Instagram page, Lisa revealed she and her family hadn’t seen her mom in a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We haven’t seen Lois since last Christmas. She is doing great I’m so happy to report, but we Miss her so much!!!” she explained.

Lois previously suffered a stroke in 2013.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 is currently in production and expected to begin airing sometime in 2022.
