On a recent episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, the friendship between Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin is called into question.
During a ‘frat party,’ Jackie Goldschneider had a near-physical altercation with Dolores after Jackie told Jennifer that Dolores wasn’t being a great friend.
In an interview with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, Jennifer discussed her relationship with Dolores: “She claims to defend me — and she does in real life, she really does defend me. And I love her. And I thought, ‘She loves me in real life, and sometimes is a jerk to me on the show.’”
She went on to say, “But now I’m starting to realize she doesn’t like me and just appeases me for the show. So I don’t know where we stand. I just know some of the things I saw [this season] were really hurtful. Hopefully, we can try and work it out at the reunion.”
During their altercation on the show, Dolores snapped at Jackie, “You’re questioning my friendship with Jennifer?” Jackie clapped back, “I’m saying that you are Margaret [Josephs’] friend first.”
Dolores expressed that it’s “not [Jackie’s] place to say” who she has better friendships with.
“It is my place,” Jackie replied. “Because I’m looking out for Jennifer right now… [I’m] making sure she’s surrounded by people who really have her back, and I don’t feel like you’ve had her back.”
Earlier in the season, Margaret exposed Jennifer’s husband’s affair. During the episode, very few cast members had Jennifer’s back.
In a recent interview with Page Six, Jennifer expressed: “Dolores is friends with me and I know she loves me deep down. I love her too, but when I don’t feel her loyalty, and it happens this season, it hurts.”
