As the remaining cast members of the CBS reality series, including Cynthia Bailey, Miesha Tate, and Todrick Hall, continue to compete for the highly coveted $250,000 prize, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has taken to her Instagram page in hopes of getting her hands on the much smaller, but still exciting, $25,000 award, which will be presented to the contestant fans deem as America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Unfortunately, fans aren’t thrilled with the way she’s gone about getting votes.
On February 20, Teddi took to her Instagram page, where she announced she was giving away a CLMBR: Vertical Climber and seemingly tried to trick her fans and followers to vote for her to become CBB‘s Favorite Houseguest.
“Who wants to win my fave workout machine, the [CLMBR: Vertical Climber]?! Just text TEDDI to 21523, send me DM w/ screenshot as proof and like [and] comment on this post. I’ll be walking into the [Celebrity Big Brother] finale ready to work some stuff out and one of you will be getting a bad-ss workout,” she wrote in a since-edited post, adding that voting will be open until Wednesday and her climber winner will be announced that same day.
Because Teddi didn’t clarify that the text would count as a CBB vote, she was quickly called out for her scheme.
“Isn’t this kind of cheating? What about playing with integrity?” the Bravo Chicks on Instagram asked.
But Teddi admitted to nothing of the sort, despite the wording of her post.
“Am I lying or doing to behind [anyone’s] back? Nope. I am still playing the game and ultimately hooking up one of my Instagram followers with something cool that I have access to give away,” she replied.
Although Teddi denied she was cheating, she must have felt some sort of guilt as she has since changed the caption of her post, making it clear that her followers should text her name to the given number to vote for her as America’s Favorite Houseguest on Celebrity Big Brother only “if [they] want.” And if they hoped to participate in the CLMBR contest, they should send a screenshot proving they follow CLMBR’s IG account and “like” and comment on her post.
After seeing what Teddi had done on the Bravo Chicks’ Instagram page, a number of people weighed in.
“That shouldn’t be allowed. God, she’s so skeevy,” one person said.
“Pitiful- she has to bribe people to like her,” another said.
“She’s bribing,” a third agreed.
