PHOTOS: Meet the 90 Day Fiancé Season 9 Cast, Find Out Who’s Returning and All We Know About Them

Spring has sprung! Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and a brand new season of 90 Day Fiance emerges. That’s right, the cast for the upcoming 90 Day Fiance season nine has finally been released. There are lots of new faces and even a few familiar ones!

If you are brand new to the show then buckle up because 90 Day Fiance is always one wild ride. The show’s premise is that long-distance lovers who have met through a variety of methods, from vacations to dating apps, can apply for something called a K-1 visa. The visa allows the engaged partner of the U.S. resident to enter the U.S. for 90 days only to prepare, plan, and ultimately go through with a wedding. But the process isn’t always exactly smooth sailing. Between cold feet, language and cultural barriers, and the looming deadline of only 90 days, the couple’s relationship is put to the test in this make it or break it scenario.

The COVID craziness has only added to the chaos of these long-distance romances, and we have seen spinoff seasons including 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, where the U.S. resident has to travel to their partner’s country of origin, ready or not. Or, as we see currently unfolding in 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days, couples are also having to meet in neutral locations that have open borders, such as Turkey, which we saw in the case of Alina Kasha and Caleb Greenwood of this season of Before the 90 Days.

But this season of 90 Day Fiance appears to be back to business as usual as all of these couples will be taking up residence (or at least trying to) in the United States. The season is set to premiere on April 17 on TLC. Check out the upcoming cast for what is sure to be another unforgettable season of 90 Day Fiance. So without further ado… let’s meet the new couples!

Let’s start with the 90 Day Fiance alums of the group…

Ariella, 30 (Princeton, New Jersey), and Biniyam, 31 (Ethiopia)

We first met Ari and Bini on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. The couple met while Ari was traveling abroad in Africa, and within three short months, the couple found out Ari was expecting a baby.

Ari moved to Ethiopia to be with Bini and have their baby son, Avi. But things got rocky between the couple very quickly as Ari never quite felt at home in Bini’s native Ethiopia. Ari invited her ex-husband, Leandro, to come for a visit, which caused quite a bit of tension in the household, as one would expect. Following that bump in the road, the couple then received the news that their baby son Avi needed hernia surgery. Ari ended up leaving Ethiopia to return to the U.S. for the baby’s surgery. But after finding out all the fun Bini had been having while she was away, Ari refused to return. The couple met up in Kenya to try to reconcile their differences and applied for Bini’s visa to come to the United States. But with all the turmoil the two’s relationship has been through, will a new location be a new beginning… or the beginning of the end?

Mohamed, 25 (Egypt), and Yvette, 48 (Albuquerque, New Mexico

A love of fitness brought these two health buffs together as Mohamed first noticed Yvette‘s fit physique and slid into her DMs. Despite the couple’s 20-years plus age gap, when Yvette flew to Egypt to meet Mohamed in person, they knew it was meant to be. But is Mohamed ready to take on daddy duty? Because Yvette has a 12-year-old son with special needs, who will actually be closer in age to his soon-to-be stepdaddy than his mother is. Yikes. But Mohamed swears he’s up for the challenge. However, Mohamed has already expressed concern about Yvette’s carefree U.S. lifestyle compared to his structured Egyptian upbringing, so will the two be able to meet in the middle? Or will all the gaps in age, culture, and lifestyle tank these two before they even really get started?

Patrick, 31 (Austin, Texas), and Thais, 25 (Brazil

Love over language learning apps. It’s not a new story for 90-Day couples. However, seeking a Portuguese teacher over a dating app is a slightly new twist to the story. But that is exactly how Patrick met his Brazilian bride-to-be, Thais. During a trip to Brazil to reconnect with his father’s side of the family, Patrick met and fell in love with Thais. Over the next few months, Patrick wooed Thais from both near and afar as he made several trips back to Brazil to be with her. Finally, Patrick popped the question and Thais happily agreed. But as Thais has never been to the U.S., Patrick can’t help but wonder if her extravagant Brazilian lifestyle will translate to his smaller Texas life. Will Thais be able to make the transition, or will their love get lost in the translation?

Jibri, 28 (Rapid City, South Dakota), and Miona, 23 (Serbia

It was love at first sight for this picture-perfect couple who lives for the spotlight. Jibri was performing with his band in North Syria and spotted Miona in the crowd. The two have been inseparable ever since, taking trips around the world together, including one where Jibri popped the question. But while Miona has her sights set on a lavish Los Angeles lifestyle, Jibri has moved back in with his family in South Dakota. Will Miona be able to reign in her yearning for the Los Angeles limelight, or will the strain of small-town cohabitation with Jibri’s family be too much for her and her jealous ways? Stay tuned.

Bilal, 42 (Kansas City, Missouri), and Shaeeda, 37 (Trinidad and Tobago

What started as an online connection blossomed into a blooming romance as Bilal and Shaeeda were finally able to meet up in person after chatting online for months. During the week the two were together, Bilal popped the question and Shaeeda enthusiastically agreed. But while Bilal is a divorced dad of two, Shaeeda still lives with her parents and has her sights set on starting a family of her own. But will hesitant Bilal be able to give Shaeeda the life and family of her dreams, or will these two’s walk down the aisle turn into a plane ride back to Trinidad?

Kara, 29 (Charlottesville, Virginia), and Guillermo, 23 (Venezuela

Kara met Guillermo while visiting the Dominican Republic, where he was living, on a work trip. Sparks flew immediately and the couple knew they would have to meet again soon, but neither one could have guessed exactly how soon. Upon returning to the U.S., Kara’s job asked her to transfer to the D.R. and she readily agreed, moving in with Guillermo upon arrival. The couple quickly became engaged, much to the surprise of Kara’s friends and family. But with the COVID onset, the two’s plans got put on hold, and Kara and Guillermo have been separated for nine long months. But now, with the K-1 visa underway, Guillermo is ready to head to the U.S. to be with Kara. But will Guillermo’s own insecurities mixed with Kara’s party girl ways finally bring an ending to this couple’s fast-paced romance?

Kobe, 34 (Cameroon), and Emily, 29 (Salina, Kansas

Kobe and Emily‘s love story is unusual, to say the least. The two met when Emily moved to Xi’an, China, to teach English, and the couple instantly fell for each other during a night out on the town. Things progressed quickly, and before long, the two were engaged and Emily was pregnant! Emily returned to the U.S. where Kobe was originally meant to follow, but when the pandemic hit, the two hit a serious roadblock in their relationship. The couple has been apart for two years, during which time Emily had their baby son, who Kobe has yet to even meet! But now the couple is finally able to reunite as Kobe heads to the U.S. to reunite with Emily and meet his son in person for the first time. But will the same sparks fly for the couple as they did that fateful night in China? Or will all the distance have extinguished the flame they once felt?

It’s certainly amping up to be an eventful season on 90 Day Fiance season nine, and we can’t wait to see which couples will run to the altar, and which ones will just run out their visas. Stay tuned!
