Nene Leakes is "Negotiating" Settlement With Bravo and Andy Cohen Amid Discrimination Lawsuit, Says Lawsuit Filed by Boyfriend's Wife is "Not [Her] Business"

Nene Leakes is attempting to settle her discrimination lawsuit against NBCUniversal, Bravo, and Andy Cohen.

Months after accusing the parties of encouraging “racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior” and claiming she dealt with racist comments from former co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann for years, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is said to be in negotiations.

According to a report from Page Six on June 28, a judge in Atlanta recently granted a 45-day extension to Nene and her defendants after they asked for additional time to “negotiate.”

In a motion filed last week, NBCUniversal, Bravo, and Andy said that their contract agreements with Nene stated that disputes are “subject to arbitration in New York,” which means that they will have to use a third party to make an agreement amid the case.

And while the documents also said that Nene “disagrees” with the idea of arbitration, it confirmed that all parties are “in the process of negotiating this issue in an attempt to avoid the time and expense of a motion to compel arbitration” through their respective attorneys, and they added that they “agreed” the requested extension is “appropriate to complete these discussions.”

In other legal news, Nene was met with a lawsuit from boyfriend Nyonisela J. Sioh‘s wife, Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh, who claims the RHOA alum stole her husband.

“I feel like I was dragged into something that is just not my business,” Nene explained to Entertainment Tonight last week. “They have their own legal thing that’s going on. I shouldn’t be brought into it, that’s all. So, I really have no feelings about it. I really think that it’s something that [Nyonisela] has to handle himself.”

Nyonisela and Malomine have been married since 2016. They share an 11-year-old son, and they separated last December, around the time Nene made their relationship official.

According to Malomine, she and Nyonisela “enjoyed a genuine happy marital relationship, in which some degree of love, affection, society, companionship, comfort, friendship and favorable mental attitude existed between them” prior to Nene’s “wrongful interference and conduct.”

She also said Nene “has publicly posted and continues to publicly post berating, tactless and insensitive intimate pictures of herself with [Tehmeh-Sioh’s] husband on social media causing further embarrassment and humiliation.”

Also during the interview, Nene admitted she’s “still grieving” the loss of her late husband, Gregg Leakes, who died of cancer at 66 in September 2021.

“I think that people think because you’ve moved on that you’re not grieving. This person was in my life for 25 years. I see things that remind me of him. One person told me that lost her husband and she said, ‘You know, just always talk about it if you see it. Don’t keep anything in.’ So my circle is really OK with me bringing up Gregg or talking about Gregg,” she explained. “So many of us know him ’cause he was around for so long and you can’t just forget about somebody like that after 25 years. I’ve never had anybody die that close to me. That was a really trying time.”
