Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley has some hard times ahead of her after her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to 12 years and seven years, respectively, in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and tax evasion among other serious charges.
However, that’s not stopping Savannah from pushing through to promote her business.
Right after Todd and Julie’s sentences were announced, Savannah took to Instagram to hawk her beauty line, Sassy by Savannah, posting an advertisement for a sales promotion.
Savannah also posted a video of herself applying her beauty brand, and in the caption, she cited the definition of “Involuntary Happiness” amidst the sentencing verdict.
Savannah’s post was met with mixed reviews as some fans praised the reality star for “staying strong” while others believed she was using the sentencing headlines as publicity for her brand.
One fan commented, “Chrisley, in fact, does not know best…”
Another added, “Hey, your parents are going to jail.”
However, there were more positive messages than negative to comfort Savannah as many fans expressed their shock and dismay over the verdict and reminded the star to “keep the faith up” and “Stay Strong.”
Savannah herself quickly followed up her initial posts with another referencing the biblical story of Noah and the Ark, which was included in a quote from Pastor Kim Jones, who’s also known as Real Talk Kim.
Savannah also shared her feelings about her parent’s legal woes on her podcast, Unlocked.
“That’s where I’m at, being so angry because my whole life could change,” Savannah said. “And I don’t mean money. But the two people that I’ve always had there for me and that’s been my support system and who I’ve leaned on.”
She continued, “It makes me so angry to see two people who are constantly stepping up for people and then, it’s like, ‘When are people gonna step up for them?'”
Unfortunately, there was more bad news aside from her parents being set to serve federal prison time. According to The Daily Mail via Deadline, all three of the Chrisleys’ television shows have been canceled.
The original founding show, Chrisley Knows Best, has been axed after airing for nine seasons, and Savannah and her brother Chase Chrisley’s spinoff show Growing up Chrisley has been canceled as well. Todd also had another reality show in the works called Love Limo, but that show will no longer come to fruition following the scandal.
Compounding the bad news, shortly before Todd and Julie’s sentencing, their youngest son and Savannah’s brother, Grayson Chrisley, was severely injured in a car in Nashville, Tennessee. He totaled his vehicle after ramming a stopped Dodge pickup truck from behind on November 21.
