Captain Lee Rosbach offered an update on his health while appearing on Watch What Happens Live last week.

After temporarily leaving Below Deck amid season nine due to a heart condition, Lee shared how he was doing before looking back on a negative experience he had with a Real Housewives of Dubai cast member at BravoCon, calling for Kate Chastain to return to the show, and dishing on the recent happenings of season 10.

“It was a tough spot, rough patches there but since I’ve been back, [I’m] hitting the gym every day [and] back on track,” Lee revealed of his recovery on the December 1 episode of WWHL.

As for the rudest celebrity at BravoCon, Lee said, “I don’t think she actually knew who I was and it was one of the girls from [RHODubai]. Yeah [she was rude].”

While continuing to answer questions from fans, Lee said it was “wrong” for Camille Lamb and Ben Willoughby to take a dip in the water right before guests got to the beach and confirmed there are times when he declines dinner invites from primaries, agreeing with a viewer who said they look “torturous.”

“It is. And yes I have declined. Absolutely,” he declared.

Then, when asked if he was pissed that Tony Duarte was awakened from sleep to dance for a charter guest, Lee denied any such thing.

“No. Not at all,” he replied. “What is he, 23, 24 years old? If you don’t have that energy, you’re in bed at 9 o’clock at night, get your ass up and go dance. You do that at home.”

When asked what Kate could do to improve as chief stew, Lee simply said, “Come back.”

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Lee was asked to name his favorite season.

“I think season one was my favorite cuz everything was so new and so fresh and we actually really didn’t know what we were doing,” he explained, admitting he didn’t realize Below Deck was a hit until “season three.”

“That’s when it was like, when my producer came to me and he said, ‘You realize we don’t have you on a contract yet.’ And I said, ‘That’s not my problem. That’s not my fault.’ And he said, ‘Well, we’re not leaving this room till we do.’ And he came walking in with a bottle of Maker’s Mark, two glasses, no ice, and said, ‘We’re gonna be here for a few hours,’” he recalled.

Also on the After Show, Lee was asked if it was a bad idea for Katie Glaser and Ross McHarg to pursue a romance since Ross was her direct boss.

“Absolutely,” he agreed. “That’s never gonna end well. Ever. Go ahead. One or both of ya are gonna hit the road.”

Below Deck season 10 airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
