Vanderpump Rules fans watched as Oliver Saunders made out with Raquel Leviss in the season 10 trailer, which was released on Monday. And now, just days later, they’re learning the son of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais filed for divorce from estranged wife Samantha Saunders soon after.
According to a new report, Oliver, 31, filed for divorce on September 14, 2022, after two years of marriage and one son, two-year-old Oliver Jr. Oliver said that when it comes to his potential future with Samantha, 32, who called him out amid production on season 10 for “[committing] adultery,” lying, and being disrespectful, there is “no possibility of reconciliation.”
The U.S. Sun shared details of Oliver’s court filing on January 10.
“During the course of said marriage, the tastes, mental disposition, views, likes, and dislikes of Plaintiff and Defendant have become so widely divergent that the parties have become incompatible in marriage to such an extent that it is impossible for them to live together as husband and wife and that the incompatibility between them is so great there is no possibility of reconciliation,” Oliver wrote in his divorce petition, requesting joint legal and primary custody of their boy.
“Plaintiff is a fit and proper person to be awarded Primary Physical Custody of the minor child subject to a reasonable visitation for Defendant,” he explained.
According to Oliver’s filing, he’s leaving child support up to the court, but he chose to “not give spousal support” to Samantha. Instead, he wants to “equally divide cost for any unreimbursed medical, dental, optical, or other health-related expense incurred” for their son.
Although Oliver and Samantha’s divorce is still active, she’s in the midst of an additional child support case against the Pump Rules (and “not paid”) guest star, which she filed in July 2020.
Amid her rant against Oliver last year, Samantha said Oliver left her “in thousands of dollars of debt and in a financial struggle” as she made it clear that Raquel, 28, was not to blame.
“[Raquel] did nothing wrong and has been respectful and supportive,” she shared.
While attending BravoCon in New York City in October 2022, Raquel, who was also seen making out with Tom Schwartz and going on a date with Peter Madrigal in the season 10 trailer, spoke to OK! Magazine about the new season.
“I’m focusing on myself and learning more about who I am and what I really want in life,” Raquel revealed. “I’m not afraid to talk and share my thoughts and feelings now, which is a big thing for me because back when I started it was very monitored and I was very shy and afraid to share.”
OK! Magazine’s report, which was shared on January 10, also included a quote from Tom’s ex-wife, Katie Maloney, who was seen dating amid his adventures with Raquel on the show.
“It’s been an exciting time,” she admitted. “I did really good this season. I feel hopeful. I kind of like the idea of anything being possible — who knows where I’ll be! At first I thought it would scare me, but now it’s like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna be good.'”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 premieres on Wednesday, February 8, at 9/8c on Bravo.
