After reports surfaced online that Kim Zolciak had been “locked out” of her family’s online store, “Biermann’s Closet,” by estranged husband Kroy Biermann, the retired NFL player’s attorney is speaking out and denying that Kim has been denied access to the business amid the couple’s impending divorce.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum caused a stir online after she took to Instagram and penned a post asking that her fans refrain from purchasing anything from Biermann’s Closet “until further notice.” She also said she would be launching a “new website for all things Kim and kids.”

On Thursday, June 1, sources close to Kim stated that Kroy allegedly blocked the Don’t Be Tardy star out of the site amid gambling addiction allegations and various financial struggles, including a massive $1.1 million tax lien.

“[Kim] has no access and is locked out,” the source told Page Six. “She wants to start a new shop with complete autonomy.”

In new statements, Kroy’s attorney is debunking the source’s claims and is maintaining that Kroy is running the site “as he’s always done,” explaining that Kroy has been “integrally involved” in Biermann’s Closet since day one.

“[Kroy] built the website, set up Shopify, set up affiliate marketing for the site with tracking links, took and posted pictures, wrote product descriptions, [and] received, fulfilled, processed and shipped orders,” Kroy’s attorney said in a statement given to Us Weekly on Friday, June 2.

“Biermanns’ Closet is a family business; Kim designated the items to be sold, and Kroy insured [sic] that items were listed on the site and delivered to the customer,” the statement continued. “Until recently, there had been little activity on the site,” the attorney went on. “However, since the divorce, there has been some traffic, and some items have been sold.”

Amid the couple’s financial woes, Kim has resorted to selling several of her iconic wigs on the site for upward of $2,700. Kroy’s attorney confirmed the sale of the wigs and Kim’s approval as well.

“These are wigs that Kim designated and approved were to be sold on the site,” the lawyer told the outlet. “[Kroy] managed the actual logistics of the site and ensured that all items purchased were recorded, processed and shipped.”

The divorce between Kim and Kroy has become increasingly contentious over the past few weeks, and both parties have had to enroll in mandatory parenting courses.

In a document obtained by TMZ, Kroy reportedly completed the state of Georgia’s “Parent Education for Separating/Divorcing Families” and filed a certificate of completion back in May. He aced the course with a near-perfect score of 99%.

Kim was also mandated to complete a similar course, “Navigating Family Change.” Per TMZ, Kim completed her seminar on May 25, while Kroy’s was completed a full week before on May 17.

Both Kim and Kroy have made shocking allegations about each other as they navigate their nasty divorce. Kim has previously accused Kroy of using drugs while Kroy alleges Kim has a gambling addiction and needs to undergo a psychological evaluation.

The latest incident resulted in police presence being requested at the couple’s Alpharetta, Georgia, home after a domestic dispute. No charges were filed.

Both parties are requesting sole primary custody of their four minor children and demanding spousal support from one another.
