Is “Scandoval” over? After announcing his role on the second season of FOX’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Tom Sandoval was flooded with support from his fans and followers.

Just over a month after it was reported that Sandoval had flown to New Zealand to film the upcoming episodes as his Vanderpump Rules castmates began production on their 11th season, the 40-year-old reality star received a much-needed reprieve (for the most part) from the hate he’s been receiving for cheating on Ariana Madix, 38, with their friend and castmate, Raquel Leviss, 28.

“It was such an honor to be a part of this amazing experience. I was pushed physically, mentally and emotionally beyond what I thought I was capable of. An ass-kicking like this was just what I needed at this time in my life. I met some really amazing people along the way. Excited for you all to see everyone’s journey on [season two] of Special Forces!” Sandoval proclaimed in a July 31 post on Instagram, which included a sneak peek at the show.

In the sneak peek clip, which features cast members Nick Viall, Tara Reid, Blac Chyna, Brian Austin Green, Savannah Chrisley, Dez Bryant, Tyler Cameron, Robert Horry, Erin Jackson, Bode Miller, Jack Osbourne, Kelly Rizzoand, and Jojo Siwa, Sandoval is seen with a bloody nose after saying, “I wanna get punished.”

Following the post about the FOX series, which Kenya Moore previously starred on, Sandoval received some mixed reviews before getting many kind messages from his online audience.

“Comments are back? That’s brave,” one person noted.

“I hope you took your nail polish off for this,” joked another, signaling to the white nail polish Sandoval was seen wearing as his affair with Raquel was exposed on the Pump Rules season 10 finale.

And while a third slammed Sandoval for having a “narcissist personality disorder” and suspected his “life-changing” experience filming Special Forces wouldn’t change a thing, except for the “perception wished for the next created narrative,” a fourth criticized the haters as “miserable.”

“Let this man live his life!” they wrote. “I’m happy for you Tom and I’ll be watching! I hope you get all the spin offs one can ask for! Keep your head up.”

And the positive messages continued.

“Don’t care what anybody says. I’m proud of you Tom, Keep forward,” someone suggested.

“You need your own spin off my dude, the only reason I’ll watch next season is because of you. Oh and anyone besides your miserable ex, is an upgrade!” declared another.

One person even took aim at Ariana by poking fun at her many post-“Scandoval” partnerships.

“To everyone saying he’s looking for his 15 min, not that I follow this junk but I did just see his ex on a dang battery commercial and her [five] minute spot on Love Island. Come on,” they noted.

“It’s so hilarious to me to watch all these negative comments — the world is full of people who cheated — it happens daily to normal [everyday] people and yet they act like he has murdered someone — get real — move on,” wrote another. “He’s trying to better his life and you guys have to sit here and make negative comments, months and months later… It’s like watching a bunch of fifth graders.”
