Lala Kent Addresses Backlash for Awkwardly Hugging Tom Sandoval, Shares Scheana’s Text and Tells Haters to "Calm the F*ck Down," Plus She Thanks Bethenny for Merch Shoutout

Lala Kent reacted to Bethenny Frankel and Raquel Leviss‘ conversation about her Send It to Darrell merch on the Real Housewives of New York City alum’s podcast on her Instagram Story over the weekend.

After Raquel, 28, complained that a number of her Vanderpump Rules castmates cashed in on “Scandoval,” which saw the fallout of her affair with Tom Sandoval, 40, Lala clapped back while also telling listeners of her own podcast that they need to “calm the f*ck down” about the hug she shared with Sandoval amid production on season 11.

Looking back on her beach day with her co-stars, which saw her hugging Sandoval, Lala said that she got a text message from Scheana Shay, 38, the following day.

“I get a text from Scheana [Shay] saying, ‘Hey. How are you?’” she recalled on the August 16 episode of Give Them Lala, via Us Weekly. “This was one of those days when she asks how am I doing and I am in the hole. So I said, ‘I am a little depressed today. Feeling a little down.’”

While Lala didn’t initially understand where the concern was coming from, she ultimately realized it was in reference to her and Sandoval’s embrace.

“It was about that photo that came out of me awkwardly hugging Tom Sandoval. Then I realize how much I don’t give a f*ck. Don’t care about the picture and I am completely removed,” she continued. “Although there are things happening in life and things I am doing, I have a sense where I am removed from it. I don’t live in the comments section.”

As Pump Rules fans will recall, Scheana came under fire in July for posing beside Sandoval in a group photo with a fan in Lake Tahoe.

“Scheana went through the same kind of thing. She was affected by it. Understandably so,” Lala noted. “I literally had no idea what she was talking about. I don’t want to see it. If you are going to watch this episode on YouTube, please don’t comment stupid things that are not productive for me to see. It’s not like I’m sandwiched between [Jeffrey] Epstein and Harvey [Weinstein] waiting for [Jeffrey] Dahmer to come join in. Everyone calm the f*ck down.”

Although Lala isn’t concerned about what fans are saying about her and Sandoval’s hug, Scheana took to social media to defend her when the photos first came out.

“All these people saying they aren’t gonna watch the season from photos that have been coming out … like come on!” Scheana wrote in a comment. “How about you WATCH the damn show and see HOW all these photos happened! … NO one knows what’s actually happening in this group right now other than US!”

In other Pump Rules news, Lala responded to Raquel’s comments about her merch on her Instagram Story, as seen in a screenshot shared by Bravo Breaking News on Instagram.

“I wanna thank the #1 podcast in the world for mentioning Send It to Darrell,” Lala wrote in the caption of her post, which included a money bag emoji and a link to her merch website.

On part three of her interview on Bethenny’s podcast, Raquel told the RHONY alum that Lala had profited so much on the scandal that she was actually able to use the money for a downpayment on her $1.35 million Palm Springs home.

“I think the most disturbing thing… is when I sent out that cease and desist from my litigator to all of the cast to not share the video that was taken without my consent, Lala decided to use that and be like, ‘Oh my god, don’t contact me directly, contact my attorney, Darrel.’ … And then she started making these sweatshirts that said ‘Send it To Darrel,’” Raquel explained. “I guess she has made enough for a downpayment on her new house in Palm Springs.”

Vanderpump Rules season 11 is currently in production and expected to begin airing later this year or early next year.
