Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause is firing back at claims that she’s a ‘mean girl’ amid Selling Sunset season 7.
On the new season, currently airing on Netflix, Chrishell, 42, gets into a number of feuds with her costars including Amanza Smith, Nicole Young, and even Marie–Lou Nurk – who was dating her ex/boss Jason Oppenheim during filming.
During season seven episodes, Marie-Lou accused Chrishell of giving her the cold shoulder — a claim Chrishell denied, and Amanza also faced the wrath of Chrishell who fired her from designing the home of her partner, G Flip, after Amanza called out Chrishell for missing a group dinner with her co-workers.
Chrishell took to her Instagram Stories this week to clap back at the ‘mean girl’ claims.
“If you say I am mean to you, apparently you get a storyline on Selling Sunset, “she wrote in a screenshot shared by the Daily Mail. ‘THREE people did it this season, and you guys be the judge.”
She continued, “Funny that I never once had an issue with any of these people when cameras weren’t around. Remember when I posted the four of us to lunch in Australia. All smiles, nice time? The NEXT time I saw her was this lunch. ON camera. If she said I was nice to her, do you think she would have gotten a storyline & invited to the reunion…. NO.”
Chrishell also got some heat for how she corrected Marie-Lou during a tense scene in which Marie-Lou mistakenly referred to Chrishell’s partner G-Flip as ‘she.’ The singer however goes by the ‘they/them’ pronouns which Marie-Lou was not aware of. Chrishell appeared visibly upset at Marie-Lou for the pronoun mixup with some fans thinking she should have offered the 26-yr-old model more grace.
“Also to the haters in the comments where this was posted, if you don’t have a partner that would correct pronouns, or correct what you preferred to be called etc. when they know it’s going out to 190 countries…Please raise your standards!” wrote Chrishell.
She continued, “There is only ONE thing I don’t play about and it’s the person that has changed my life for the better. If that makes me less palatable to some. Luckily for you, we aren’t married to each other then.”
