Monica Garcia took to her Instagram page on Sunday to confirm the loss of her baby just weeks after announcing she was expecting her fifth child with boyfriend Braxton Knight.
In an emotional post, the 39-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum shared the heartbreaking news of her loss, telling her fans and followers that she was “still processing” the pregnancy loss as a number of Real Housewives stars offered their condolences.
“One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible. I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do. Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect,” she began in her April 28 post.
“‘There is no heartbeat,'” she recalled being told. “I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself. As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed.”
Monica went on to share “so much love” to those who’ve been dealt with “miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in between.”
“I am so grateful for my incredible doctors and amazing support system. I am so blessed to have all of you in my corner and I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby. I love you and I’m so thankful for you,” she concluded.
Also with her post, Monica shared a photo of herself in the hospital.
In response to the sad news, several cast members from the Real Housewives franchise sent messages to Monica, who confirmed her departure from RHOSLC in January after just one season.
“So sorry Queen, sending you strength and love through this hard time,” wrote Mia Thornton, 39, of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“I’m so very sorry Monica,” added Dolores Catania, 53, of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Teddi Mellencamp, 42, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Tamra Judge, 56, of The Real Housewives of Orange County, also weighed in, telling Monica they were “so sorry” for her loss.
Monica Garcia was featured on the fourth season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
