Tamra Judge underwent a brow lift and other procedures at the end of last week. And in the days that have followed, she has offered a series of updates on her Instagram account.
While sharing that she also underwent a CO2 laser, a resurfacing procedure, and a blue chemical peel, which brightens skin, the 56-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star gave her fans and followers a look at the painful, swollen results, which led to questions from her online audience.
“Taking you all along on my journey! I visited Dr. Donald Mowlds in Newport Beach, who works alongside Dr. Ambe, for a brow lift, CO2 laser, and a blue chemical peel. Seven years ago, I had a lower facelift but skipped the upper—like painting the house but forgetting the trim. Stay tuned for updates!” Tamra wrote in the caption of a video post shared on August 31.
In her video, Tamra shared snippets taken an hour and three hours post-op from her brow lift, and she noted that she also had a fat pocket of skin taken out of the corner of her eye.
“We also did a CO2 laser with a blue peel,” she stated. “I don’t feel bad. My eyes are all blurry because there’s like, something, like vaseline in there or something, but let the healing begin.”
One day later, on day three post-op, Tamra shared a second Instagram post in which she spoke of the swelling she experienced.
“Progress isn’t always pretty, but it’s happening,” she revealed.
In her video, Tamra explained that day three was supposed to be “the worst” of her recovery.
“The swelling is from the CO2 laser. You can see it’s all the way down my chest. But you can imagine what it feels like,” she shared. “I don’t know how it can get any worse. I feel like my skin’s gonna burst. You can see it’s getting oozy. I can barely open my eyes. My throat hurts a little bit from the tube down my throat.”
She went on to say that the crustiness on her skin was from the CO2 laser.
“[I’m a] little oozy in my neck and chest. The swelling is pretty bad, but it doesn’t really hurt. It just feels really tight,” she noted. “Dr. Mowlds promised me that this is — I turn a corner after this so I’m excited about that. But overall, looking like it’s supposed to look, nice and crispy.”
Following the sharing of her videos, Tamra received mixed reactions from her fans and followers, many of whom wondered why she felt the need to do something so dramatic to her face.
“Holy [sh*t] you were perfect,” wrote Real Housewives of Miami‘s Marysol Patton, 57.
“What the hell happened? Is this on purpose???” someone else asked. Another wondered, “What is this?”
“Brow lift, CO2 laser, and a blue chemical peel,” Tamra replied.
Another person said, “WTF! The only reason she is doing this is because we’re gonna see her next year and go, ‘Oh did she get a facelift?????’ Come on [Tamra]. You did not need to do anything to your face. You are beautiful.”
