Shahs of Sunset’s Mike Shouhed Settles Assault Lawsuit Filed by Ex-Fiancée Paulina Ben-Cohen

Mike Shouhed has settled the lawsuit his ex-fiancée, Paulina Ben-Cohen, filed against him last year about an alleged assault in March 2022.

Days before the Shahs of Sunset alum was set to come face-to-face with Paulina, who has since moved on with Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi‘s ex-husband, Dennis DeSantis, at trial, her attorney confirmed to the court that the former pair had reached a settlement that would see Paulina dismissing the case.

Us Weekly shared the news on Monday, noting that the parties’ court documents had been filed on September 11.

“We are happy to have worked together to resolve the final piece of these unfortunate events and move on,” Mike’s lawyer, Reza Sina, told the outlet after the deal was made.

According to the report, Paulina plans to have the case dismissed by December 9, once the terms of her and Mike’s agreement have been fulfilled.

Following the alleged assault in 2022, Mike faced 13 criminal charges, including domestic violence and battery. However, he was able to evade jail time after striking a deal with prosecutors and was ordered to attend anger management classes and provide community service.

Years later, as Mike denied the claims against him, Paulina filed her lawsuit, alleging that Mike “viciously, brutally and repeatedly” assaulted her in their home, with her child nearby, grabbing her by the hair.

“As [Paulina] was lying on the floor, underneath the clothing rack that had come down on top of her body after [Mike] violently threw her to the ground, [Mike] bent over her, struck her in the face, and then put his hand over her face and tried to suffocate her as she writhed on the ground and struggled to breathe,” her lawyer wrote.

“Nearly four minutes after [Mike] initiated his series of vicious and brutal attacks on [Paulina], this harrowing incident finally came to an end. [Paulina] had screamed for the nanny who was staying in a room on the other side of the house while [Mike] was assaulting and battering her in the playroom, in hopes the nanny would hear her and come to her aid,” they continued. “When the nanny did come, the nanny asked [Mike] to leave and return when he was calm. This only angered [Mike] further, and he stated something to the effect of he was never leaving the house and it was his house. After [Mike] went upstairs to retrieve one of his firearms, the police were called, came to the residence, and arrested [Mike].”

Along with her lawsuit, which also alleged that Mike had threatened to hire a hitman, Paulina provided screenshots of alleged security footage from the encounter.
