Lisa Rinna revealed she was nearly cast for the first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during a recent podcast appearance.

While also sharing whether she felt her time on Bravo was “worth” it and admitting that leaving the series felt “fantastic” on another show, Lisa, 62, looked back on her first meeting with producers, explained why Andy Cohen, 57, initially opted against casting her, and proclaimed that Eileen Davidson, 66, “changed the game.”

“I was up for housewives season one. I went in for casting. I got pretty far,” Lisa revealed on The Skinny Confidential Him And Her Show.

According to Lisa, Andy first said, “I don’t want any actresses on the show.”

“So he wouldn’t — [he] didn’t hire me. He’ll tell the story. He tells the story. Season five, when I came in, he decided to let actresses come, and they hired Eileen Davidson and me. So it did change the game because we came in as soap actors, like together,” she continued.

Then, when asked who it was the most fun to film with in a dramatic, soapy way, Lisa said she “only” had fun with Eileen.”

“Because it was not fun. None of it is fun,” she stated.

During another appearance, on TODAY with Jenna & Friends, Lisa was asked if she felt her time with Bravo was worth it.

“It was absolutely worth every second. I say that because I was at a point in my career where that just rejuvenated it. It’s great real estate. I call Bravo, I call the housewives franchise really good real estate. So you can go on there and you can reinvent your career and I was able to sell the brands that I wanted to create and sell, and so that to me is why you do something like that, that’s why you do a show like that,” she replied.

Also on the show, after admitting that RHOBH was a “challenging” series, and giving the cast credit for “showing [their] real [lives,” Lisa admitted it felt “fabulous” to walk away.
