Candiace Dillard-Bassett appeared on Monday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she reacted to the recent happenings of both The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Traitors.
As she shared her thoughts on the game play of Lisa Rinna, 62, and the behavior of Michael Rapaport, 55, on The Traitors, Candiace, 39, addressed the RHOP return of Monique Samuels, 42, shaded her former co-star, Gizelle Bryant, 55, and looked back on filming Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip with Gizelle and Ashley Darby, 37, while also commenting on the arrest of Wendy Osefo, 41, and more.
“I know she’s back, but I’m not watching,” Candiace said of Monique, her former on-screen foe, on the February 2 episode of WWHL.
Then, after stating that Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, 60, would make the best traitor of the RHOP cast, Candiace was asked who she would trust more between Gizelle and Rob Rausch, 27.
“I would trust Rob with every organ in my body over that thing,” she declared.
As fans may have seen, Candiace recently reunited with Gizelle and Ashley in Atlanta for RHUGT. And of the reunion, she said, “You all may have some nostalgia.”
She then hinted that she butted heads with her former castmates when asked if they were cordial.
“…. it was. Well, or something,” she teased.
Moving on to Wendy, Candiace recalled learning of her arrest.
“My head spun around,” she admitted. “I was doing a news segment when I heard, so I was getting ready to talk about a stage play, and they’re like, ‘We have breaking news, can you talk about it?’ My friend is going to jail? Call the police. What do you mean? I was floored, blown away.”
Also, amid the live airing, Candiace shared her thoughts on Lisa being quiet at the start of production on The Traitors, sharing why it didn’t initially make her suspicious of her fellow Real Housewives star.
“That was the most time I’d ever spent with her, so I didn’t know her to be different than that … [And] I also feel like this is not real life,” she noted. “We are in a simulation of murder and treachery. You’re gonna be different. So I don’t think that was enough of a reason to, like, peg her.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Candiace addressed the backlash surrounding Michael’s over-the-top antics on The Traitors.
“We know Michael to be bombastic, loud, volatile at times, but when the cameras were off, he’d be in the corner chilling. He literally would, like, come in, start his mess, and then go sit down,” she explained. “[So] for the traitors, we were like rubbing our hands together because, ‘Keep stirring it up. It’s a distraction.’ But as a faithful, I understand how they were annoyed with him.”
“[But] he’s Michael. You let him do what he’s going to do,” she added.
Candiace then commented on her interaction with Stacey Rusch during filming on the upcoming season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip.
“I saw her Ultimate Girls Trip … I met her at the party. I love Stacey. She’s so fun. She’s a hoot. She’s good energy. She’s bubbly. I enjoy her so much.”
