Lisa Rinna tested positive for fentanyl, amphetamines, and other substances after being drugged at The Traitors season four premiere party at The Abbey in West Hollywood, California, in January.
After news of her drugging was leaked earlier this week, with sources claiming that Lisa’s Traitors co-star, Colton Underwood, 34, had alerted her team after noticing that she seemed completely inebriated at the event, even though she hadn’t had much to drink, the 62-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum opened up about the incident, while also reflecting on her near-bankruptcy in her new book, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.
“I was [drugged],” Lisa revealed on Good Day New York to Jerry O’Connell, 52, and Rosanna Scotto, 67, on February 26, confirming that she “did” get tested after the event.
“I had fentanyl in my system. Yes. I’m not kidding. I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines, and other things, but I can’t talk a lot about it because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now,” she explained, signaling a February 23 report from TMZ.
While Lisa couldn’t say who may have done it, she noted that her husband, Harry Hamlin, 74, got her out of the party once he realized what had happened.
“Luckily, my husband was there and was able to get me out of there quickly,” she recalled.
According to Lisa, her drugging wasn’t the first time a situation like that took place at the popular Robertson Boulevard hangout.
“So many people that I know have had this happen at The Abbey. All my daughters’ friends. I mean, this is not a first-time thing. This is something that’s gone on for years, and I do think it needs to be a conversation,” she stated. “I’m glad now that it’s out and we’ll deal with it.”
Meanwhile, in her new book, Lisa addressed the financial pressure she faced during her eight seasons on RHOBH.
“After spending my life savings to look good on air, it’s probably a blessing in disguise that I left before bankruptcy,” she wrote.
She then gave herself an A minus for the fashion choices she made over the year.
“I can’t really think of one thing that was superbad where I cringe and go, ‘Oh my God, that was hideous,'” she reasoned.
Lisa Rinna starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season five through season 12.
