Janet Caperna believes that certain members of The Valley cast have a “hive mind,” and Lala Kent agrees.
Following last week’s episode of season three, Janet and Lala took aim at their co-stars, including Zack Wickham, Kristen Doute, Jasmine Goode, and Nia Sanchez-Booko, as they clapped back, insisting that they all had their own issues with Janet, while Janet’s husband, Jason Caperna, reacted to the ongoing drama.
“If one person feels a certain way about somebody, the entire group has to agree with that and feel the same way, even if there’s no real reason to feel that way,” Janet alleged on the April 29 episode of The Valley: After Show. “It just feels like I forgave Zack for using really hurtful words about me. None of them can seem to do the same for me using what I would consider less hurtful words about Danny.”
According to Lala, it seems “convenient” that certain members of the show have aligned with the Bookos.
“It feels like, convenient, it’s like, you know that Danny and Nia are really liked, so I feel like people in the group want to attach themselves to them rather than Janet, because Janet’s the unpopular opinion, and they inherit beef,” she explained. “I think we’re too old to be doing that. I think to sit in a group and loop about bullsh*t is just such a waste of time … There has to be a productive conversation that comes of it.”
While Lala hoped that the group could get to a better place, she suspected there was no winning for Janet.
“She’s apologized, owned her part, and it’s still not good enough,” Lala noted. “Move the f*ck on. At this point, it seems that talking sh*t on Janet is a sport.”
Then, after Jesse Lally suspected Lala “taught” Janet about “hive mind” and Danny Booko agreed, Kristen asked, “She said that about us?”
“We all have different issues that we’re working through with Janet,” Jasmine noted, as Nia added that they were “all grownups” and “can all decide how we feel about [Janet].”
As for Zack, he said, “Absolutely not,” when asked about his potential “hive mind.”
“The hive mind over here is Janet, Lala, [Brittany Cartwright], and [Michelle Saniei],” he declared. “We’re individually mad, and that does bond a group together … [But] you never see me, Kristen, Nia, and Jasmine come at them at once … Look at the other group … They speak as one.”
While Zack believes Brittany has gone to the other side, so to speak, Brittany said that when it came to her relationship with Janet, she’d had “real conversations” with her about her drama with the group.
“She’s not an evil person. She’s not like a bad person whatsoever. She is a wonderful friend. She’s a great mother. She’s in a wonderful relationship. I just think that she’s getting so much hate for so long now,” Brittany stated.
While his wife continues to be under fire on the show, Jason seemed to agree with Lala and Brittany’s assessments.
“Anything that Janet does, it’s like she has [these] crazy, ill intentions behind it. It’s like, if person A is mean to Janet, it’s like, ‘They didn’t really mean it. They just weren’t feeling good that day.’ If Janet’s mean to person A, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, this is an evil person we’re dealing with,'” he noted.
Also on The Valley: After Show, Tom Schwartz revealed that Kristen gave him “some notes” for his interviews.
“She’s like ‘Schwartz, don’t be passive.’ She said, ‘Doute is my best girl since 2010.’ That’s a fact. I love Doute. She’s the best mom. [And her fiance, Luke Broderick] is the t*ts,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Kristen explained, “[I wrote], ‘Oh my God, wait, you’re with Jason for the After Show? Stop. You better talk, or you guys will be crickets. And you need to be honest and loving. Don’t be a p*ssy. I love you … [And] I can send you more notes.’”
Then, when Tom confirmed that Kristen had also texted him, saying that Janet was “boring,” Jason reasoned that “boring” was better than her past shade.
“I mean, of all the insults, that’s actually, probably, the nicest thing Kristen said about Janet in years, to be honest with you. That’s pretty nice of her. That might be an olive branch … Boring’s better than evil,” Jason stated.
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
