The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a unique Housewives franchise in that the house husbands play a central role in the action and the drama as well. They also tend to provide a ton of comic relief when things are very tense.
One of the more popular house husbands is Frank Catania, Dolores Catania’s ex-husband.
An insider exclusively dished to Reality Blurb that fans of Frank’s are bound to be disappointed this year.
“He is not filming for season 15,” the source divulged.
As for why Bravo would not be taping with him, especially given the fact that Dolores is still on the show, the insider noted it has to do with Teresa Giudice.
“Teresa did not want him to be a part of the show,” the source alleged. “She is still mad at what he tried to bring up at the season 13 reunion about Luis [Ruelas].”
As fans remember, on the season 13 reunion, which aired in 2023, Frank accused Luis of closing his business quickly and ghosting Frankie Catania Jr., Frank and Dolores’ son, who worked for Luis.
When Frank tried bringing up more details, Dolores shut it down and insisted he stop speaking about it.
“He got another job. And that was it,” Dolores said.
She also declared, “This ends right here,” and ended up thanking Luis for hiring Frankie Jr. Due to Dolores’ intervention in the conversation, the discussion completely stopped.
In season 14, it was revealed in the premiere episode that Frank had told Teresa and Luis the cast had met before the season 13 reunion to come up with a plan to take them down.
During the season 14 reunion, he ended up accusing Luis of hiring private investigator Bo Dietl to dig up information on the entire cast.
“Teresa still is angry about what Frank did or tried to do to Luis, and thus did not want him being a part of season 15,” the insider added. “And she got what she asked for.”
“It’s interesting that Dolores still is sticking by her regardless of this,” they also shared, “as Frank is technically her family via their children. But, Dolores always seems to have Teresa’s back and won’t go against her, so it does track.”
By Frank losing airtime, he will lose having as much wide-scale exposure as he had, which the insider noted could potentially translate to “less endorsement deals and less money.”
As Reality Blurb recently revealed, Dolores is supposedly having a hard time while taping season 15.
“Dolores has always been a peacemaker and the middleman, never choosing sides in the conflict between Teresa and Melissa Gorga,” a source previously shared. “Now that Teresa and Melissa have made up, Dolores’ role isn’t as clearly defined.”
“It’s almost like she’s being pushed aside a bit and isn’t sure of her place,” they elaborated.
The insider also stated that, while Dolores was “riding high” with The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, RHONJ, and her stint on The Traitors, it seems like the “golden age of Dolores may be coming to an end.”
