Summer House’s West Wilson Addresses Viral Video That Outed Amanda Romance, WWHL Lies, Joint Statement Regrets, Yankees Game Kiss, Flirty Behavior With Ciara After Fight

West Wilson addressed the video of him and Amanda Batula “canoodling” in his apartment during an interview with Lucas Brody on Wednesday.

While also commenting on his Watch What Happens Live lies, his kiss with Amanda, 34, at the Yankees game, and admitting that they didn’t write their joint statement, the 31-year-old Summer House alum explained his touchiness with Amanda amid her marriage to Kyle Cooke, 43, revealed he accidentally flirted with Ciara Miller, 30, during season 10, and shared his “game plan” going into the reunion.

“I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard from credible sources it does [exist]. It’s very illegal, I’d like to note,” West told Lucas of the video that forced him and Amanda to go public. “From what I’ve been told, it was Amanda and I canoodling in my apartment from one of my neighbors across the street. But I’d say that’s what kicked off everything into like, panic, rushed mode. You can’t really figure out your own plan when that exists.”

According to West, he and Amanda planned to keep their relationship a secret “until [they] figured out what was going on.”

“I guess I’ve always thought in New York there’s like an unspoken rule that like, we can all see each other across our f*cking windows and our balconies. Like, don’t film each other,” he advised.

Regarding his lies on WWHL, West confirmed he was “nervous.”

“I’ve since apologized to [Andy Cohen],” he revealed. “That made me feel better, but it was a pressure cooker, and I am a f*cking idiot for thinking that was a good play.”

Moving on to his and Amanda’s statement, West said it was the “worst thing [he’d] ever done,” agreeing that they should’ve reached out to Kyle and Ciara privately and adding that they didn’t write it themselves.

“I’m not gonna name these people,” he clarified about who actually wrote it.

“I am embarrassed by it. It was kind of unnecessary, to be honest. Partially, it was rushed because lying was also weighing us down; it clearly didn’t help anything at all,” he noted.

Following West and Amanda’s confirmation of their romance, the couple was spotted kissing at a Yankees game.

“We didn’t even touch each other the whole game, and then one freaking smooch happened,” West explained. “I think I was probably being non-affectionate in the hopes of not drawing attention, which I know that’s probably hard to believe. I tried not to smooch the whole game, but that’s hard for me.”

West then spoke of rumors linking him to Jennifer Fessler, 57, stating that they were “not f*cking true.”

“That’s a nice lady, and she’s flirty, and she’s fun. That’s a friend of mine,” he shared.

Looking back at season 10, West said that because Amanda was his “f*cking friend,” he felt a need to intervene in her fight with Kyle.

“I had her back in that moment cuz I disagreed with how Kyle was behaving,” he reasoned.

As for being too touchy, he added, “If that was actually something that bothered people, I would’ve loved to hear about it in real time. [That’s] kind of who I am as a person … I’m always gonna hug and tell my friends I love them.”

When it was noted that Ciara dealt with racial backlash due to her drama with West, West agreed that her concerns were “valid and need to be had.”

“Despite trying to be better about sh*t like that, I ultimately failed,” he admitted.

Reflecting on their end-of-summer reconciliation, West revealed that he found it “weird” that Ciara was open to a friendship after telling him to “f*ck off” days prior. He then stated that amid their reconcilation, he may have been flirty.

“I think I struggle in an immense way with being flirty with people that I absolutely should not be,” he explained.

Also during the interview, West spoke of his reunion performance, saying that while he doesn’t consider himself “an emotional person by any means,” he is not emotionless.

“My game plan was to apologize and not be defensive for sh*t,” he revealed.

However, due to his dad’s past anger issues, West said he’d been trained not to react and keep calm under pressure.
