Crystal Kung-Minkoff revealed on the latest episode of her shared podcast with Cynthia Bailey that she threatened to skip the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion if Marcellus Wiley was in attendance.
After Annemarie Wiley, 42, made shocking allegations against Marcellus, 51, including assault, rape, and a threat to her life, as she filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage, Crystal, 43, looked back on her own experiences with Marcellus, noting that the former NFL player made her and Garcelle Beauvais, 59, “very uncomfortable.”
“At my last reunion, which, it was her first season and only season, I had made sure to request that he was not allowed to be there. I called production, and I made sure. I was going to insist, but he apparently was not — they already asked him not to come,” Crystal shared on the July 13 episode of Humble Brag.
According to Crystal, she and Garcelle “always felt very uncomfortable” with Marcellus because he had shared “lies” and false “accusations” about them online.
“We had a lot of people involved, like the production network. So they were very helpful with us, we were protected, and they said, ‘Don’t worry,’ but they made it a blanket, like, ‘No husbands allowed. No partners allowed,’ to make it not focused, but I was like, ‘I can’t come if he’s here,’” Crystal continued.
As for Annemarie’s claims regarding the treatment she allegedly sustained from Marcellus, Crystal said it was “a very hard thing to read.”
“It’s hard to read for anyone to go through that. Obviously, she and I had a very tumultuous experience together … But I feel very sad for the children. Very, very sad. It’s so public. It’s absolutely everywhere,” Crystal noted of Annemarie and Wiley’s three kids, son Marcellus Jr., 10, and daughters Ariya, 7, and Alivia, 6.
“Innocent kids is always just, it’s very, very sad. So we’ll see how it unfolds,” she added.
Crystal Kung-Minkoff was featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season 11 through season 13.
