Whitney Rose and her husband, Justin Rose, are reportedly looking ahead to what’s next after their reported split.

As the 39-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star spoke out on social media, suggesting that she’d burnt her life down and was headed for a rebranding, an insider offered an update on where she and Justin, 58, stand regarding their potential divorce.

“They haven’t taken any formal steps, like retaining attorneys or moving out yet, but they are currently separated,” a source told Us Weekly. “They’re no longer functioning as a couple. The relationship has essentially come to a standstill, and they’re now trying to figure out what comes next.”

According to the insider, Whitney and Justin, who married in 2009 and share two kids, daughter Bobbi, 13, and son Brooks, 10, didn’t surprise their inner circle with their breakup. And, because of the many ups and downs fans have seen on RHOSLC, it may not have come as a shock to viewers either.

In the years leading up to the breakup, Whitney often spoke candidly about the troubles she and Justin faced.

“Our marriage isn’t any different than anyone else’s. We just share it, whether people like it or not,” Whitney insisted to Us Weekly in 2023.

Then, in November 2025, she told Us Weekly about how her children had handled seeing her and Justin face adversity on the show.

“Any talk of Justin and I getting divorced is very sensitive to [my kids]. Can I share what my daughter said to me though?” she said. “I asked her, ‘What do you say to kids at school when they ask you about your mom and dad painting each other on TV and getting physical?’ And she goes, ‘Yeah, that’s my mom. Are you jealous?’ So I mean, I’ve raised good kids.”

Meanwhile, in a message shared on Threads on July 26, Whitney responded to a telling meme.

“Girl, normalize burning your whole identity to the ground in your 40s [and] rebranding yourself again,” it read.

“I feel this,” she replied.
RHOSLC Whitney Rose Suggests She's Rebranding Amid Justin Split

As RHOSLC fans have surely seen, Whitney and Justin’s split came just after reports began swirling regarding the breakup of her castmates, Angie Katsanevas, 52, and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, 53.

While the majority of the cast has stayed silent about the reported splits, Meredith Marks, 54, suggested the apparent ends of her co-stars’ marriages were “karma.”

“It’s ironic when you see [everything] that has been said about you manifest in the people who said it. Much more to come on this subject, but people who spread negativity about an aspect of someone else’s life usually are insecure about that in their own life. 2026 has been a year of karma in so many different ways,” Meredith declared on Threads on July 22.

Then, after fans criticized the comment,  Meredith explained why she made it.

“Let me be clear for those of you who are trying to read too deeply into my comment,” she wrote. “I do not wish ill upon anyone or celebrate anyone’s demise. But I do note the irony in karma when someone has continually lied about me to hide their own truths. As I said, you don’t even know about many of the issues I am referencing here, but I do believe in karma, and I do hope all the people in my life find their own happiness, whatever that means for them.”

Lisa Barlow, 51, was later accused of throwing her own shade with a happy photo of herself and husband John Barlow, 50. However, after fans confronted her about the issue, she denied it.

“I’m just living my life,” she insisted.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven is expected to premiere later this year on Bravo.
