Porsha Williams seemed to shade Shamea Morton on Instagram by “liking” a post about her potential firing from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
As Andy Cohen, 58, took to his Radio Andy series to set the record straight about the season 18 cast of the long-running Bravo reality show, Porsha, 45, reacted to a claim about Shamea, 44, leaving the show and Nene Leakes, 58, returning.
“Shamea out, Nene in!” declared a post shared on Instagram on August 2. “The word on the street is that Nene has received a contract for Season 18 and filming begins in THREE weeks!! The entire cast has been asked to return alongside Leakes except for Shamea.”
“Are you excited to see Nene potentially return to [RHOA]?” they added as Porsha offered a “like.”
As RHOA fans may have seen, a source told Reality Blurb earlier this week that contracts had gone out “two days ago” and that Bravo was “very interested” in bringing Nene back to the show. Meanwhile, they added that Shamea, who feuded heavily with Porsha during season 17, “was not offered a contract” for the new season.
Nene then appeared to confirm her return with a post on her Instagram Story.
“This is the BEST I have felt in a longgggggggg time,” she wrote. “#superhappy.”
The insider also alleged that “filming [was] set to start in [three] weeks” and that Kelli Potter, 41, had also “received a contract to come back.”
However, on the August 3 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy seemingly confirmed that the season 18 cast would look the same as season 17, which featured Porsha, Shamea, Kelli, Phaedra Parks, 52, Angela Oakley, 45, Drew Sidora, 41, K. Michelle, 44, Pinky Cole, 38, and Cynthia Bailey, 59, as a “friend.”
“The Atlanta reunion tease dropped last Friday, and I gotta tell you, I told you guys how much fun I had, and now you can see from the tease what I was talking about. I mean, it is just a great show and a lot of fun,” Andy began.
He then addressed recent headlines.
“There are a lot of casting rumors online, which came out over the weekend, and I’m gonna tell you that they’re not true, and I am going to tell you that if you want a preview of next season of Atlanta, look at this cast,” he revealed. “This is the group, guys. I mean, we love this group, so spoiler alert, we’re very happy, and as you can see from the reunion, I was very happy as the day went on.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 reunion begins Sunday, August 9, at 8/7c on Bravo.
