Stassi Schroeder addressed Beau Clark’s past financial issues after a TikTok user called him out for being dishonest during his stint on Vanderpump Rules.
As she faced backlash for the way she was seen treating Beau, 46, amid the debut season of House of Stassi, with fans slamming her “disappointing” behavior and complaining that the series was “hard to watch,” Stassi, 38, defended her spouse.
“It seems like a lot of people don’t know about Beau’s weird background. So I’m gonna kind of do a quick storytime,” Kiara McKinney began in a video shared days ago.
According to Kiara, she recently rewatched seasons six and seven of Pump Rules, during which Beau introduced himself as “Beau,” claiming it was short for “Bogey” when it was actually short for “Robert.”
“He also lied about his age … He celebrated his 40th birthday on his 37th birthday,” she continued, noting that he allegedly did so for “professional reasons.”
Kiara then signaled Beau’s “multiple bankruptcies,” one of which was confirmed by Radar Online in 2019.
“They’re both kind of terrible,” she concluded.

One day later, Stassi responded to the video, writing, “And yea a lot of people had to file for bankruptcy back then. And yes we are both terrible.”

During recent episodes of House of Stassi, Stassi and Beau have been seen at odds over his role as a stay-at-home dad to their two children, daughter Hartford, 5, and son Messer, 2, with Beau admitting to feeling angry and resentful and comparing himself to a 1950s housewife. He even suggested that he and Stassi were more like roommates than spouses.
Although Stassi recently confirmed that she and Beau were doing better, that didn’t stop fans from flooding her with backlash after she shared a happy photo of the two of them attending a TIME magazine event last week.

After Stassi’s post was shared, House of Stassi viewers called her out.
“I came on here to see if I was the only one who felt weird about this show. I was so excited to watch this, but I found this extremely hard to view. She has not learned empathy at all,” one person shared.
“I started then I gave up. I can’t watch her; she is sad … selfish to the core, too,” wrote another.
A third suggested Stassi didn’t respect her husband or her marriage, as another commenter said, “It’s disturbing how cold she is to her husband.”
Others said they were “very disappointed” and felt “so bad” for Beau.
“Hard watch. I thought it was gonna be fun. And upbeat and lots of travel and cool shit. This was darkkk,” someone else described.
“This show was a hard watch. I really hope you have reflected on your actions and how you treat the people who care about you,” another person replied.
House of Stassi season one is currently streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
