Scheana Shay said her once-good friend Janet Caperna was “look[ing] up” information on Jesse Lally’s girlfriend Lacy Nicole – though Janet “shift[ed] the blame” at The Valley reunion. The Vanderpump Rules star also suggested that Janet “pointed the finger” at Scheana so she didn’t have to “take accountability.”
Back in May, Zack Wickham shared that Janet ran a background check on Lacy – and has a folder on each of her costars. What’s more, Lacy accused Janet of taking a “deep dive” to find information about her online. But at the reunion, Janet seemed to blame it all on Scheana, who shared last season that she heard Lacy was hooking up with a Baywatch actor. Janet insisted that Scheana was the one who was “looking [Lacy] up” and “calling mutual friends.”
On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana clapped back at Janet’s reunion claims.
“I don’t know what [Janet and Jason’s] motives were … but it definitely felt convenient to shift the blame onto someone who wasn’t even on the reunion stage to defend herself,” said Scheana, via @vanderpumprulesparty on Instagram. “One thing I can speak to [is Janet’s claim that] I researched Lacy. And that is simply not true.”
“Janet was the one who was doing that,” continued Scheana, who shared that “Detective Janet” will “look up” people. “She even had a conversation with Lacy admitting to Lacy that she did this.”
Scheana said she was surprised to hear Janet bring up her name at the reunion.
“At the end of the day, I’m not on The Valley,” she added. “I wasn’t there to tell my side of the story. And it appears to be one of those situations where it’s easier to just point the finger to someone who isn’t in the room than to take accountability yourself.”
Last week on Scheananigans, Scheana hinted that Janet – who was once her good friend – betrayed her trust and told Brittany Cartwright about her husband Brock Davies’ cheating while Scheana was pregnant with their child.
