Angie Katsanevas appeared to confirm that Mary Cosby blocked her on Instagram amid filming on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven during an interview last week.
While also gushing over the bond she and her castmates share, despite the drama they face, and admitting that she learned a lot from Mary, 53, as she watched her co-star navigate the loss of her son, Robert Cosby Jr., Angie revealed that when it came to the news of her and Mary apparently unfollowing each other, she didn’t actually unfollow her fellow cast member.
“I love Mary. I did not unfollow her. I did not remove her as a follower, and I guess I’ll just leave it at that,” Angie, 52, confirmed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Right away, Bravo Snark Side on Instagram pointed out that Angie’s revelation meant that Mary blocked her.
“So if Angie didn’t unfollow Mary, that means Mary blocked her!” the fan page wrote on Instagram, along with a screenshot that showed that the two of them weren’t following one another back in April.
Oddly, the news that Angie and Mary weren’t following each other came just months after Mary gushed over the friendship she shared with Angie.
“The friendships that I’ve developed, mainly with Angie, [has] probably been one of the pleasures of being on the show,” Mary told Us Weekly at the time. “Finding sisterhood in this world just in general [is important] because nowadays people … are just different now, even after COVID … People are not looking for friends, and they’re not looking to be a friend to the point where it feels like family. And you just don’t find that no more.”
Also in Angie’s interview with Entertainment Tonight, she seemingly revealed that she and Mary hadn’t seen one another for a while.
“I’ve got a lot going on personally right now, and I really haven’t spent a lot of time with anyone right now, this summer,” she explained, seemingly in a nod to her separation from husband Shawn Trujillo, 55.
That said, Angie made it clear that she “[loved] all [the] women” on RHOSLC.
“And we all love Mary and we’re all gonna be here for each other when we truly need each other in our darkest hour,” she continued.
Moving on to Mary, Angie said, “I learned so much from watching Mary navigate [her son’s death].”
“Mary was very strong. She didn’t want us to feel sorry for her. She said, ‘I don’t want to wallow. I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me.’ And the way that she looked at it was her son was going home to God,” Angie explained.
