Jeff Lewis threw major shade at a Real Housewives of Orange County star and revealed what he missed about his friendship with former business partner and co-star Jenni Pulos on Monday night’s Watch What Happens Live.
As he also offered an update on his relationship with Andy Cohen, 58, reacted to the drama between Vicki Gunvalson, 64, and Carmella Garcia, 44, spoke of Daisy Toye‘s popcorn ceilings, and shared his thoughts on the new boyfriend of Heather Gay, 52, Jeff suggested Luann de Lesseps, 61, had acted hypocritically on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th and addressed his dating life.
“Probably [Gina Kirschenheiter] because I can’t work with her budget,” Jeff, 56, said on the September 28 episode of WWHL after being asked which housewife he wouldn’t decorate for.
Even after Andy mentioned that Gina was a “quite successful realtor,” Jeff suggested she couldn’t afford him.
“I watched the episode recently where she said, ‘Should we buy a house or [get married]?'” he mentioned. “[And] I don’t think broke people should have weddings.”
“She has six kids,” Andy replied.
“Which is also not a great idea when you don’t make money,” Jeff fired back.
As for which housewife he wouldn’t want to see in the wild, Jeff laughed, “Well, I guess Gina now.”
Moving on to Jenni, Jeff reflected on their “very long-term friendship.”
“She was so funny. And I was going to say loyal, but I’m gonna take that back,” he clarified. “But we had a really great time together. And she was a hard worker. And she’s smart … I think about it often. I do. But it was a long time ago.”
Jeff then offered the rose and thorn of his Bravo return.
“I love that [Andy and I are] close again. I love that [Andy has] to respond to my texts and answer my calls. I feel in control, and I love it. I do,” Jeff admitted of his rose.
Of his thorn, he continued, “All those haters are back. They’re all back. It went dormant for so long, and it was so nice, but they’re all back, but you know what … it gives them something to do. You’re welcome.”
He and Andy also spoke of their ups and downs during another moment of the show, with Andy confirming the two of them were in a “good place” and Jeff sharing that he hoped to “stay there.”
“Me too,” Andy agreed.
When asked about Vicki’s issue with Carmella, Jeff suggested that the series OG was “a BS detector.”
“I think her concern is that the home that was rented in Corona Del Mar was done in order to qualify as an OC housewife, and so now Vicki — cuz I’m friends with Vicki — now, she’s like, what is she hiding,” he explained.
Regarding The Real Housewives of New York City and the shade Jessel Taank, 46, threw at Daisy’s popcorn ceilings on a recent episode, Jeff admitted, “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a popcorn ceiling.”
“But I mean, look, I understand the importance and having a rent-controlled apartment. I get it,” he reasoned.
He also named his favorite RHONY newbie.
“I like Daisy. I think she’s very grounded. [Hailey Glassman], I’m watching to see if she’s telling the truth. I felt like the rollerblading with the fur coat was kind of like a stunt. We’ll see,” he said.
Jeff then commented on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, noting that he wasn’t sold on Heather’s new man, Tripp.
“This guy, what, ghosted her years ago? And now that she’s successful and she had the glow up and she’s skinny and she’s famous, now he’s sniffing around again, I don’t know,” Jeff shared.
As for Luann’s dominant behavior against her RHUGT castmates, Jeff called out her ongoing habit of stealing moments.
“I felt like it was a bit hypocritical about respect because how she behaved in Miami with [Marysol Patton] because I feel like Mama Elsa, we were all very invested in her, and I wanted to hear Marysol’s response, and then Luann interrupted to talk about a man we don’t know and don’t care about,” he stated.
Jeff also spoke of his new show, Still Flipping Out, which premiered on Monday night.
“There’s some boundaries. It’s not like old-school Flipping Out where, I mean, I’d get sued every which way if I did what I used to do,” he explained.
Then, when Andy mentioned that his lawyer played a big role on the new series, Jeff admitted, “I have a full-time attorney.”
At another moment, Jeff was questioned about dating and denied that he and his co-star, Joey Zauzig, 34, would make a good couple before admitting that he and Doug Budin, 57, were “actually very compatible.”
Following the live show, Jeff appeared on the WWHL: After Show, where he revealed which of his radio show co-hosts he would trust the most to lead his show.
“I would absolutely think that Doug is a very effective host. I think he could keep the train on the tracks. [Shane Douglas] is good, too. Shane’s great. But Doug has a lot of experience with this, and he has his cooking show every week and all of that, so I think that Doug could probably do a great job,” he noted.
He then suggested that there were others he wouldn’t trust to take the lead.
“We’ve got a lot of unhinged people. Jamie Kennedy scares me. Love him to death. [Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid] scares me, only because she’s really, truly, the most random person I’ve ever met. But I love her to death. But you know. It’s a land of misfit toys, and I love my chumps,” he concluded.
