Karen Huger offered an update on where she stands with Wendy Osefo and Gizelle Bryant on a podcast this week.
As Wendy, 41, and her husband Eddie Osefo, 41, head to trial for alleged insurance fraud, and after Karen, 63, was seen at odds with Gizelle, 56, amid the Real Housewives of Potomac trailer, Karen spoke of her relationship with her co-stars, while also reacting to Ray Huger, 79, suggesting she was more fun before she got sober, offering an update on their marriage, and revealing when she realized her drinking was a problem.
“We have perfected, to the extent that we can, apologizing and moving on, but I am of the philosophy that I can forgive you but I ain’t gonna forget,” Karen explained of her status with Wendy and Gizelle on a recent episode of Way Up With Yee.
She then confirmed that she and Gizelle were “in a better place.”
“We are Bravo’s best frenemies. But I will say that, you know, I said this the other night: I don’t carry luggage that I didn’t pack … and I felt like what happened between Gizelle and I was her luggage, and she needs to handle that,” she stated further.
According to Karen, RHOP is “on fire” and “one of the more real housewife brands.”
“All of us were not born into money. Whether or not we become successful because we were afforded this platform, that’s a blessing. What makes us unique is we share the real experience of real folk every day because that’s who we are on this show and we just became these fabulous women that we are today,” she shared.

Reflecting on Ray’s comment about her sobriety, Karen admitted it was “painful.”
“It was very painful. Twenty-nine years married, but Ray has a right to his opinion,” she reasoned. “Everyone else had an opinion about what happened, you know, what I did, and being held accountable for it, and I’ve paid and answered for it. But I still had to have a real conversation with Ray, and so it was disappointing that he felt that way, but he has a right to his opinion.”
Although many would argue that what Ray said was wrong, Karen said that she’d rather deal with his truth than a facade.
“Let’s give him an opportunity to speak,” she advised. “Now, do I agree with what he’s saying? No. Do I like what he said? No. And so what’s gonna happen is you’ll see that play out this season and how I handle it, how I decide to run to me. I decide to love me.”
“I gave it my everything, and he still didn’t choose me in that comment, so I chose me,” she added.

Also on the episode, Karen admitted it “took [her] forever” to admit she had an addiction.
“I would say that when it finally happened was, after the accident, my children were traveling. One was abroad, and they were at the foot of my bed the next morning,” she revealed. “I knew then I was sick. I didn’t know what I was sick of, so I actually went into three-tier treatment for addiction. That’s emotional, pills, and alcohol. So I had to work through all of that, and I chose to do that to find out really what was bothering me, and so I would say I really faced it the morning after the accident.”
Karen went on to note that “therapy is everything,” saying, “It does change you, but it’s a wonderful way to live.”
“You’re clear. I meditate. I pray. I have all the things. My Bible. Again, what I don’t do is say or force that down anyone’s throat,” she continued, “[but] I do know that my higher power pulled me through and walked me through it. I was never alone. And there was peace, believe it or not, because I accepted it.”
