Meredith Marks threatened to file a defamation lawsuit against Whitney Rose on Instagram after watching a throwback clip of the comments Whitney made about her alleged airplane spat with Britani Bateman at a drag brunch in February.
As Lisa Barlow, 51, and Britani, 55, also weighed in on Whitney’s suggestion that there were lawsuits preventing the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast from revealing the truth about the supposed season six incident, Meredith, 54, accused Whitney, 40, of “slander.”
“I was on the airplane. Meredith is f*cking lying. Lisa Barlow is lying. The only reason you don’t know the truth is cuz there are lawsuits from people that are way bigger [than] me,” Whitney declared at the event months ago. “I can lose my job over this. The people who protect those b*tches from lying … Meredith accosted Britani on the airplane.”

Following the resharing of the throwback clip, both Lisa and Meredith described Whitney’s comments as “slander.”
“Yes it was a full flight. A lot of people were on the plane but somehow there is no footage from anyone, no repercussions legally or from the airlines. This is slander,” Meredith declared. “Should I file a defamation suit against her? I didn’t think anyone was dumb enough to believe her but maybe I am wrong and need to take legal action.”
Meredith then shaded Whitney’s finances, suggesting that she wasn’t worth suing.
“Well, perhaps not. You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip,” Meredith reasoned.
Also weighing in on the clip was Britani, who said, “Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence.”
As RHOSLC fans will recall, there were rumors of a potential secret recording of Meredith and Britani’s reported airplane encounter. However, when Whitney was further questioned about the possibility at the drag brunch, she couldn’t say a thing.
“I’m going to be very clear. I can’t answer, and I cannot answer because it’s a legal issue,” she explained. “Let’s just say this: If five women saw the same thing, say the same thing … I’m about to get fired.”
As for Britani, she told StyleCaster she had been in the “fetal position, probably sucking [her] thumb” as Meredith berated her.
“There was wine … My side was drenched in wine through the seats,” Britani alleged. “I had my earphones on, like headphones, not just like AirPods. I had my headphones, and I had my back away from the back of the seat so that I couldn’t feel anymore, more because I was just tired of feeling it and just trying to zone in on Crazy Rich Asians. And I got to the end, literally just tried to zone in and not give any reaction whatsoever, just act like it wasn’t happening.”
“I just didn’t want to give them the satisfaction of seeing me break. I held out until the very end, and then I started to break. I started to crumble,” she added.
