Stacey Rusch spoke of her relationship with Wendy Osefo during a podcast appearance last week.
While also addressing other friendships, reacting to Karen Huger, 63, suggesting she was “AI,” and defending her decision to tell Tia Glover, 46, about her husband, Rob Glover, being on dating apps, the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac star confirmed that she knew about Rob’s online behavior for a year before she came forward.
“I think you’ll have to watch the season to see the ups and downs and where [Wendy and I] ultimately land at the end of the season,” Stacey said on a recent episode of Gabbing With Gib.
According to Stacey, her relationships with her castmates are all “very different.”
“I think that with each woman there are ways that our friendship can grow, and then there are some women where I’m accepting where we are and perhaps that place is just not liking each other and existing in the same space and being polite when we see each other,” she explained.
Then, when asked if she was excited for any blossoming friendships, Stacey bluntly stated, “No.”
Moving on to Karen’s “AI” shade, Stacey said she was amused.
“That makes me laugh. That’s just Karen. That’s light shade. That is nothing that I have to be worried about,” she noted. “I accept Karen for who she is.”
Regarding Tia’s husband being exposed on-camera, Stacey said it was “inevitable” that his profiles would be mentioned on the show.
“Everyone knows that that was going to be brought up on camera, and I think choosing to be the person that tells the truth in a smaller setting, even though the truth may be painful as opposed to allowing someone to be publicly embarrassed and humiliated, is always the direction that I would choose,” she confirmed. “I’d never choose any way other than the way that I expressed the truth. I didn’t want her to be humiliated. We all know that that would’ve been brought up.”
When asked if she ever considered not doing it on camera, Stacey clarified that she and Tia didn’t have a friendship before adding that their relationship held no weight on her decision.
“I don’t think that that has any weight on wanting to tell someone something that will prevent them from being publicly embarrassed. Even though we didn’t have a friendship and we had a rocky road in getting to know each other, I still chose to try and prevent her from pain, and I think that that’s basically the bottom line,” she explained.
Also during the podcast appearance, Stacey said that she had sat on the information about Rob for more than a year.
“I received messages about Tia’s husband a year ago. I knew going into the reunion last year that I, on my phone, I had multiple photos of him on a dating site and information,” she revealed. “I also knew that it was being spread around and sent to the cast. I didn’t bring that up on television. I didn’t bring that up on camera, as a dig or to hurt her. I just said, ‘I don’t know if this is true. I would never want to have the rug pulled from under me in the way that it has been done to me in the past, if you will, and so I stayed away from it for over a year. I never mentioned it because I didn’t know if it was true.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 11 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
