RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant Accuses Wendy Osefo of Starting Peter Romance Rumors to “Sway” Attention Off of Herself, Says Mia’s Altercation Shifted Group, Plus Shades Candiace

The Real Housewives of Potomac’s, Gizelle Bryant, is speaking out against the drama that’s ensued after costar, Wendy Osefo allegedly started the rumors circulating that Gizelle once had a romantic fling with the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Peter Thomas. Plus, she talks tension between her and Candiace Dillard-Bassett.

Speaking with media outlet, The Grio, Gizelle says she finds it “convenient” that suddenly the tabloids and blogs began running with a story of her alleged involvement with Peter, the ex-husband of RHOAs Cynthia Bailey, the moment Wendy’s business practices came into question regarding her restaurant endeavor with Peter.

“[Peter’s involvement] very much has nothing to do with Gizelle, but all of a sudden, ‘Gizelle is dating Peter,’” Gizelle said. “Some people wanted to throw the scent off of them … that came out in the blogs the second — or maybe third — day that we were in Miami, and I’m like, ‘hmmm, this ain’t a coincidence!’ So, it’s very direct, and it was a very direct attempt to try to sway people off of whatever she was doing with Peter, and when I say she, I mean Wendy.”

Gizelle then took time to address costar Mia Thornton’s altercation with Wendy after the former threw a drink at the college professor. Gizelle said it profoundly “shifts” the group and will have lasting after-effects.

“It shifts the group in a big way,” Gizelle explained. “I think Mia had kind of had it … no one should throw drinks in people’s faces, like, that’s not cool, that’s not a cool thing to do, but sometimes people’s buttons get pushed, and when you continue to push people’s buttons, something’s going to happen, you know what I mean? But the fallout of it all … I just want ya’ll to see! It’s the fallout of it all.”

The RHOP star also talked about the “Burn Session” that ultimately ended in disaster with arguments between multiple ladies.

“It was like, ‘Come we’re gonna talk about each other, we’re gonna trash each other, and then we’re gonna forget about it. I’m like, ‘Who does that?’” Gizelle said laughingly. “They didn’t really show this, but Robyn [Dixon] and I were very much like, especially Robyn, this sounds very mean girl.”

Gizelle also delved into her conflict with Candiace after the “Burn Session” as she told the aspiring singer that Candiace’s husband, Chris Bassett, made her feel “uncomfortable” after following her into a private room and shut the door leaving the two alone.

“Candiace is emotional, so I try to talk to her from that perspective,” the “Green-Eyed Bandit” said. “I try to talk to her very directly, and I try to, like, make sure my words don’t super upset her, but that didn’t work. She got upset anyway, and, you know, I just told her what I thought she should know about her husband.”

Candiace and Gizelle both joined season 3 of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, taking place in Thailand, and began filming right after RHOP wrapped. Gizelle revealed that some of the drama did indeed follow them across the ocean, but Gizelle noted that Candiace “loves to play the victim, so she’s going to hold on onto this until the wheels fall off.”
