Gizelle Bryant targeted Angel Massie‘s Wanderland business after Sunday’s Real Housewives of Potomac featured a failed fly-fishing excursion that Angel set up for the women, but was unable to get them to.
As Angel attempted to explain what led her to get lost on the way, slammed the ladies for their lack of empathy, and accused them of wasting her time and money, Gizelle, 55, suggested that Angel was no good at her job. In addition, Ashley Darby, 37, described Angel’s girls’ trip to Colorado as a “motherf*cking flop,” and Jassi Rideaux and Gizelle agreed.
“My fly-fishing guide spent the night up at the location to be there first thing in the morning when the ladies arrive. Bobby makes a delicious breakfast. We get ready to go. We are early, in fact, we leave out the house to head to the fly-fishing. I asked one of my guides to drop me a pin where they are so that I make sure that I don’t get lost. We follow the GPS coordinates, and it takes us in the opposite direction of the lake,” Angel recalled on the January 25 episode of the RHOP: After Show.
After realizing they were going the wrong way, Angel called her guide, who insisted the coordinates were correct.
“I’m like, ‘Are you sure?’ Of course, as you all know, it was incorrect, and we realize we are two hours away from the site,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Jassi didn’t understand why she and her castmates weren’t told that they were lost.
“We didn’t realize we were lost … then her assistant sent the coordinates … and the coordinates said we’re two hours away,” explained Tia Glover.
“[But] this is her business, remember? And she’s good at it,” Gizelle sarcastically replied. “No, she’s not. That was a no. This is her business, supposedly. Supposedly, she does this all the time. Supposedly, everybody in Denver calls her for outfitting.”
“But this location was a new location … and for some reason, the coordinates that was sent to her was wrong,” Tia noted in an attempt to defend Angel.
Looking back, Angel said that while she and her group, including Tia and Keiarna Stewart, got lost, she believed that the other women had arrived at the fly-fishing site.
“At this point, I’m thinking that the ladies are there, fly-fishing, having a good time because we had this beautiful three-course meal set up, gifts for the ladies. We have guides and boats, and it’s just a beautiful, alpine lake location that they’re at,” she shared.
Once she noticed that the rest of the cast had not arrived, Angel attempted to convince them to still go.
“She wanted you to still go so that even if we couldn’t make it, that you could enjoy the arrangements that she had made for us all,” Tia explained to Gizelle.
“No, thank you … By the time we got there, we also had flights that night,” Gizelle replied.
But according to Angel, the rest of the ladies didn’t get to enjoy what she arranged for them because they didn’t leave on time.
“They were supposed to arrive there at 11:00, and they did not leave the Four Seasons until 11:30, and so they were never going to be able to arrive at the experience and then go to the airport on time … I made it explicit that the ladies needed to be able to get there on time or it wouldn’t happen … They drug their feet and they took their time and they wasted my time and money,” she continued.
Angel went on to say that after paying for and renting different things, she was shocked at her castmates’ behavior.
“There was zero empathy for what we were going through,” she noted.
During another segment of the RHOP: After Show, the cast shared their thoughts on their visit to Colorado as a whole.
“Between the sh*tty accommodations, literally, for us, the lack of water, this is beyond fail. This is a motherf*cking flop,” Ashley declared as both Gizelle and Jassi said the trip was an “epic flop.”
“I mean, we had moments of fun, like moments, but overall, we went from Nevis … and it was planned perfectly, thank you, Gizelle, to Colorado, and it was womp womp,” Gizelle mentioned. “[But] the Aspen part was cool.”
“We spent half our time on the road because we were all so spread apart … it was very hard for us to feel like we had any sort of balance of where we were,” Ashley added. “I think that we all were kind of robbed because Angel’s experience did sound fun, the one that she had planned for us, and we got robbed of that opportunity.”
Monique Samuels, 42, also felt that the trip was lacking in activities.
“I don’t feel like we did anything. I would’ve loved to have gone horseback riding or something nature-filled,” she suggested.
Then, after Tia revealed she had fun on the private jet and in Aspen, and Jassi said she enjoyed shopping at Kemo Sabe, Angel revealed that only one of her co-stars thanked her.
“[Stacey Rusch] is the only person who called me the next day and said, ‘You know, Angel, I got home, I talked to [Thiemo Rusch], and I talked to Arabella and they asked me what I did and I told him all these cool things that I was able to do … and then I looked in my bag and I saw all these gifts that you gave me, and I realized that you really put a lot of time and intention into this trip, and I want to thank you,'” she shared. “And if her crazy tail can recognize all the effort that I put into it and say thank you, I don’t understand why these ladies couldn’t.”
Keiarna Stewart also appreciated Angel’s efforts.
“Bringing that level of luxury and an experience, I think it was crystal clear to who you are as a person, to who I’ve always known you to be and as a friend, I was actually really proud of you because even know matter how chaotic things were … I was proud that no matter what the people said, you knew what Angel had to give,” she stated.
In closing, Angel suggested it was her castmates’ insecurities that resulted in their harsh criticisms.
“Even though you can be a kind person, people are not always gonna receive it, and that’s more their insecurity than yours. I’ve learned that not everyone’s gonna like your a** and that’s fine,” she stated.
