Teen Mom OG Farrah Abraham vs Maci Bookout

Farrah Abraham is reacting to the news of Maci Bookout‘s upcoming appearance on Naked and Afraid.

During a new interview, the recently-axed Teen Mom OG star said that the news was “hilarious” and called out her former co-star for participating in a “pornographic” series after slamming her own work in the adult industry.

“The irony of this is hilarious,” Abraham said in a statement to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on March 6. “Hopefully she has fun on her pornographic show; [it] sounds tragic.”

As Teen Mom OG fans will likely recall, Bookout wasn’t happy when Abraham was brought back to the MTV series after starring in a series of adult films, including Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom and Farrah 2: Backdoor And More, and temporarily quit the show because she was so disgusted.

Bookout eventually returned to her role on the show but told her producers that her son, nine-year-old Bentley, would no longer be featured because she didn’t want him to star alongside someone who had starred in a sex tape.

Although appearing on Naked and Afraid isn’t exactly on the same level as a making a sex tape, many fans online have labeled Bookout as a hypocrite.

Below are a couple of their comments.

“What the hell? She gave Farrah s**t for doing p0rn and banning Bentley from filming. Now she did a naked TV show?! Lost respect for her.”

“I like Maci but that’s a bit hypocritical,. Isn’t she worried that Bentley’s classmates will talk about his mom being on ‘that show where they’re naked’…?”

While Abraham, who was fired from her role on Teen Mom OG late last year, didn’t appear to be too happy to hear about Bookout’s upcoming appearance on Naked and Afraid, her father, Michael Abraham, is excited and noted the Discovery Channel series as one of his all-time favorite shows.

“‘Naked and Afraid’ is actually one of my all-time favorite shows; I love it,” he told The Ashley. “I wish Maci nothing the best and I hope it was a positive experience for her. I’m excited to watch it. Out of respect to [Maci’s husband] [Taylor McKinney], all I’ll say is that I’m excited to get to finally see all of Maci’s tattoos!”

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Bookout will be featured on a special celebrity edition of the show, which returns to the Discovery Channel on March 11.

As for the possibility of Abraham following in her former co-star’s footsteps, Michael said he can’t see his daughter participating in a survival show.

“I don’t see that happening, but you never know,” he said. “Farrah’s not a very good swimmer, so that would make something like that hard. But you never know.”
