Last week, fans learned Maci Bookout had filed for an order of protection against Ryan Edwards and now, they’re learning new details about what led up to the Teen Mom OG star’s decision to take legal action against him.
According to a new report, Maci requested orders of protection on March 23 in the Hamilton County Circuit Court not only for herself, but also for her husband Taylor McKinney and her three kids. Then, just four days later, Edwards was arrested for breaking his probation for heroin possession.
“He has left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son,” she claimed, according to an April 2 report by Radar Online. “He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone.”
Maci detailed an incident from May of last year in which Ryan allegedly showed up to one of Bentley’s baseball games under the influence of heroin “and got in my face, yelling and threatening to hurt me.” She then explained that she fears for Bentley’s safety due to the fact that he has been known to drive while intoxicated.
“His behavior and actions are getting worse,” she said. “I am fearful for my three children and myself, and what he may do, based on his threats.”
Maci Bookout wants Ryan to refrain from contacting her, her husband, and her three children, including nine-year-old Bentley, two-year-old Jayde, and one-year-old Maverick.
Following Maci’s request, the court granted her with a temporary order of protection. Maci is due to attend a court hearing in regard to her case today.
