Is Tyler Baltierra Heading To Rehab? Has a “Lot of Unresolved Issues” When It Comes To Wife Catelynn and His Father

Catelynn Lowell is doing “a lot better” after spending months in rehab treating issues of depression and anxiety. However, when it comes to her husband, Tyler Baltierra, he may not be doing quite as well.

After Tyler posted a troublesome tweet about feeling “alone” and “empty,” his friend River Ceballos appeared on Radar Online’s podcast, Teen Mom Time, to discuss the possibility of the Teen Mom OG dad entering treatment himself.

“He isn’t opposed to it,” River confirmed. “I definitely think it would be beneficial. He does have a lot of unresolved issues from his past. Stuff he’s had to deal with — Catelynn, stuff at home, his father — that he’s had to put on the back burner. I could definitely see that in a good way. I think it would really help him.”

Tyler considered entering rehab during the latest season of Teen Mom OG. Then, after his father Butch entered rehab for substance abuse and Catelynn checked into treatment to deal with suicidal thoughts, he chose to stay home and care for his three-year-old daughter Nova.

While Tyler previously had to sideline his own needs, he may now have the opportunity to put himself first as wife Catelynn steps up for their family.

“I think therapy and rehab really helped her,” River noted. “She realizes how much stuff she really did put Tyler through. She has taken on his role. Things have definitely switched. I’m interested to see what he does with his free time now that the reigns have loosened.”

In other Catelynn and Tyler news, the Teen Mom OG couple is considering expanding their family just months after Catelynn’s tragic miscarriage.

“They do want to be parents again,” he said. “Of course the miscarriage was very unfortunate and it took a huge toll on both of them. But having another kid was always in the cards for them. That was always the plan. There is no rush because everything is fresh and new, but they definitely want baby number three.”
