Jill Zarin remains hopeful that she might be able to find love again following the sad passing of her husband Bobby Zarin earlier this year.
In a new Instagram post, the former Real Housewives of New York City star looked back on her marriage to Bobby while revealing her hope for the future. Jill also responded to criticism from one of her followers who felt it was too soon for her to be trying to move on.
Five months after Bobby’s death in January, from thyroid cancer spreading to his brain, Jill, 54, posted a photo of him on her Instagram page and in the caption, she spoke of possibly finding love again.
“I am so lucky to have had this once in a lifetime experience and that our love will be forever preserved through the reruns. Only time will tell if I will ever find true love again. I hope so,” she wrote. “Nothing feels better than being loved by someone unconditionally with all their heart and soul that you can feel their energy across the room. It can happen in an instant or never happen at all.”
Under that post, one of her followers questioned if it was “a little soon to be talking about finding love again,” imploring Jill to “take the time to heal.”
Jill however responded by letting her know Bobby would not have wanted her to put her life on hold.
Jill wrote, “I appreciate you caring and glad you said this so I can say with no guilt life is for the living and Bobby made me promise not to mourn too long and if I happen to meet someone… don’t react out of guilt or anyone’s option. No one can understand our relationship and Bobby loved me enough to give me permission as hard as it is to move forward and not in the past.”
She continued, “Bobby had been very sick since Oct 2016 and it was a daily struggle of managing doctored, medicine, and testing. Grueling from side effects. I held his hand and heart from the first day I met him and never looked at anyone else. But now I must move forward. I appreciate your caring.”
During Wednesday night’s episode of RHONY, Jill was seen with her co-stars at Bobby’s funeral where she broke down over the painful loss of her husband.
“I’m alone now,” she cried. “I don’t know what I’m going to do. What am I going to do?”
And just this week, Jill also defended her former friend and castmate Bethenny Frankel against criticism from those who felt she acted insensitive at Bobby’s funeral.
