Gina Kirschenheiter seems to have been struck by the reality curse prior to the premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s 13th season.
Gina, who was added to the cast of the Bravo TV reality series months ago, filed for divorce from her husband Matthew Kirschenheiter after seven years of marriage and three kids midway through production on her debut season.
Radar Online shared the news with readers on July 6, revealing that Gina filed her documents with the Orange County Superior Court on April 2, 2018 and cited “irreconcilable differences.” The report also revealed that Gina listed her date of separation as March 30, 2018.
Gina and Matthew got married on May 15, 2010 and share three children, including Nicholas, 6, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2.
In her court documents, Gina requested sole physical custody of her children and shared legal custody, with her estranged husband Matthew having visitation. She also asked for “domestic partner support” and requested the judge “terminate” Matthew’s spousal support.
Although Gina and Matthew have been separated for over three months, they appear to be doing their best to civilly co-parent their three kids and on Father’s Day, the newest addition to The Real Housewives of Orange County praised her estranged husband on Instagram.
Gina also posted a happy family photo with Matthew and her kids at the end of last month, revealing that they were celebrating their oldest child’s birthday together.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 13 premieres on Monday, July 16 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
