LuAnn de Lesseps’ two children, 23-year-old Victoria de Lesseps and 21-year-old Noel de Lesseps, reportedly want to know what she did with the money she received after selling their former home in Bridgehampton, New York.
After suing the 53-year-old Real Housewives of New York City star for allegedly breaching her 2009 divorce agreement with ex-husband Count Alexandre de Lesseps, Victoria and Noel want an explanation about the 2014 sale of the mansion.
On July 30, Radar Online revealed that LuAnn sold her Bridgehampton home in 2014 for $8 million and quickly purchased a new home for just over $3 million in Sag Harbor. However, while she made a profit of about $5 million that she was supposed to put in a trust fund for their kids, she never did.
In court documents, it is stated that LuAnn’s two children were supposed to be funded with half of the interest in the home. Instead, they’ve allegedly gotten nothing.
“Going to rehab has bought her some time, but Luann still has a lot of explaining to do to her family when she gets out,” an informant told the outlet. “She sold the family Bridgehamptons home for $8 million and bought her new, much smaller, house in Sag Harbor for $3 million! So where is the missing $5 million? That’s what her kids want to know.”
“She has been burning through money her ex-husband left the family because he wanted to look after his children as well as is ex-wife,” the source continued.
LuAnn entered treatment for the second time this year earlier this month but is expected to leave the facility sometime next month. At that point, she will return to her cabaret show, #CountessAndFriends.
“She makes good money on her reality show and a little on her cabaret act,” the source said, “but it’s going to take her many, many years to make back the $5 million!”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
