RHONY Luann de Lesseps Back in Rehab

LuAnn de Lesseps has returned to rehab on the heels of a new lawsuit filed against her by her former husband and their kids.

Just months after her controversial Palm Beach arrest prompted her to enter an alcohol treatment program, the Real Housewives of New York City cast member’s co-star, Bethenny Frankel, has confirmed that LuAnn is once again seeking help.

“This weekend, Luann was surrounded by her girlfriends and decided — with their support — that in light of recent circumstances, it is the healthiest choice for her not to attend Tuesday’s reunion taping so that she can continue in her healing process,” Bethenny confirmed to People magazine on July 16. “Luann is now surrounded by a core group of people who truly have her best interests at heart and who are working to make sure she gets the help she needs.”

“Bravo has been very supportive of Luann during this time. It’s a brave and honest decision by her, and everyone is rallying around her and wants the best for her,” Bethenny continued.

Bravo TV also spoke out about LuAnn’s decision to enter treatment.

“Bravo supports Luann’s decision to focus on her health,” the network said in a statement. “She is part of the Bravo family and we continue to stand by her as she copes with this challenging situation. At this time, we hope everyone will respect her privacy.”

Earlier this month, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, Victoria de Lesseps, and Noel de Lesseps accused LuAnn of breaching a divorce agreement by failing to set up a trust for the children and award them with half of one of their vacation homes in The Hamptons.

According to Bethenny, LuAnn decided to return to rehab due to her family drama, and because she felt it was the best thing for her future.

“Luann loves doing the cabaret. She’s taking the necessary steps to get better so that the show can go on,” she explained.

As fans may know, LuAnn has performed several sold-out cabaret shows at New York City’s Feinstein’s/54 Below in recent months.

In January, weeks after being charged with disorderly intoxication, battery on an officer, resisting arrest with violence, and making threats, LuAnn said that her divorce from Tom D’Agostino, Jr. led her to act out during her visit to Palm Beach in late 2017.

[Editor’s Note – Reality Blurb had been aware of Luann’s relapse for a while now as we came across a video back in late May, mistakenly posted by someone close to Luann, where Luann could be heard in the background talking to someone and slurring her words. She was 100% inebriated. We chose not to publish that video back then and decided against doing a story about it for the sake of her well-being. It was however rather disappointing when earlier this month, Luann publicly declared she had been six months sober. We do continue to wish her the best.]
