Teresa Giudice won’t be attending her husband’s upcoming deportation hearing.
According to a new report, Joe Giudice will soon be fighting back against a potential deportation to Italy and when he does, he won’t have the support of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member.
“Teresa is saying that she isn’t going to court for the hearing,” an insider told Radar Online on August 9. “She just can’t take the stress, and she believes nothing will happen anyway, so she doesn’t need to be there.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that Joe was in the midst of “removal proceedings” with the government as he served his three-year prison sentence for charges of bank and wire fraud.
“[Joe is] in deportation proceedings while he’s in custody,” an ICE spokesperson told Radar Online. “ICE has lodged a detainer, and he is in removal proceedings.”
This summer, the Department of Justice told Radar Online that Joe was fighting to stay in the United States with his wife and four daughters.
“Mr. Giudice applied for a cancellation of removal on May 8, 2018, and filed a motion to terminate on May 24. Both requests remain pending,” the spokesperson explained.
While Joe is set to be released in March 2019, ICE confirmed to Radar Online that he could be kicked out of the country before his sentence is complete.
According to Radar Online’s report, Teresa’s four kids visited their father weeks ago but for some reason, the reality star opted out of the prison visit.
“Teresa spends all her time down at the shore,” the insider said. “She doesn’t spend it with Joe.”
“Teresa has never admitted Joe is going to get deported. She lives in a fantasy world. She just believes everything is going to be okay,” the source added.
