RHONJ Marty Caffrey and Danielle Staub Divorce Update

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub and her husband Marty Caffrey both appeared in court on Monday, August 20 over the restraining orders they filed against each other.

If you recall, Marty, who initially confirmed his split from the reality star in July, and Danielle were involved in a blowout at their New Jersey home and police were called to their residence not once, but twice.

After the August 13 dispute, Marty was removed from their home and he and Danielle were each granted temporary restraining orders against one another which expired on Monday, August 20.

In Marty’s temporary restraining order request, he claimed Danielle attempted to “stab him in the neck at least a dozen times.” Meanwhile, in her own request, Danielle accused Marty of “domestic violence non-reported verbal abuse.”

Page Six is now reporting that they both decided to drop their restraining orders on Monday, although the divorce remains on.

Radar Online is also reporting the same, stating that Marty is still planning to file for divorce “as soon as possible.”

The Radar report went on to reveal that the production company behind The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been troubled by the news of Danielle and Marty’s split and is unsure of how to proceed with her storyline.

“Producers are freaking out because of Danielle. This doesn’t go with her storyline at all about her happy marriage,” a show insider said.

Indeed, this season will feature Danielle planning her wedding, and getting married with her castmates, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, serving as her bridesmaids. You can see her wedding photos here. Even worse for the producers, filming had already ended by the time Danielle’s marriage began to crumble.

The RHONJ season nine will premiere on Bravo TV later this year.
