Teen Mom OG Pregnant Mackenzie Standifer Talks Due Date Shares Ryan Edwards Custody Update

Ryan Edwards‘ wife, Mackenzie Standifer, may have been axed from Teen Mom OG months ago, but she’s staying in the midst of drama on Instagram as she remains active with her fans and followers.

After lashing out at the MTV reality series for being “fake” and “lame” last week, Mackenzie returned to social media with a new photo of her and Ryan and in the comments section of the image, she spoke of a number of things, including her due date, her thoughts on Teen Mom OG, and the amount of time her husband spends with his nine-year-old son Bentley.

During what appeared to be an impromptu Q&A session with her online audience on September 15, Mackenzie revealed her second child was due “any day now” before taking aim at MTV for manipulating her storyline on Teen Mom OG.

After a fan sent a message to Mackenzie, reprimanding her for her dysfunctional relationship with Ryan and slamming her for speaking ill of Maci Bookout, Mackenzie suggested that not everyone on the show was setting a good example for the young women tuning in.

“And everyone else [is] setting great examples for young girls? No,” Mackenzie replied. “I’m so sorry but I will continue to stand up for what I believe in no matter how chopped, edited, and jumbled it may become because that’s who I am.”

Mackenzie then admitted that while she and Ryan are happy and in love at the moment, they have gone through some hard times.

“I have stuck by my husband through some of the darkest times imaginable. Have mistakes been made? Hell yes. Have they been accounted for, dealt with and resolved, yep. Why do I post pictures of my husband and myself? Because we do love each other. And that is real life,” she wrote. “If you want to fault me for standing by my husband and sticking to my vows, then don’t follow me.”

Also on Instagram this week, Mackenzie reacted to a fan who claimed Ryan wasn’t allowed to see Bentley.

“He sees him every weekend,” she insisted.

Ryan and Mackenzie were fired from Teen Mom OG in July and claimed at the time that MTV was unwilling to feature Ryan’s story of recovery with their audience.

“We’re not returning to Teen Mom this season. The network told us they don’t want to show Ryan as a recovering addict,” Mackenzie explained to E! News. “But they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan’s parents so it would look like someone else is raising it.”

“They also want to take Maci’s word on how I’m doing,” Ryan added. “Maci’s said she’s not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I’m sober.”

Teen Mom OG season eight begins airing on MTV on October 1 at 9 p.m.
