Ryan Edwards may have been booted from the cast of Teen Mom OG months ago but in the just-released trailer for season eight, he’s in the midst of drama with Maci Bookout and her husband, Taylor McKinney.
Months after Ryan’s wife, Mackenzie Standifer, suggested MTV removed him from the show because they didn’t want to showcase his new sober life, Taylor reveals details about a phone encounter he endured with the former boyfriend of his wife.
“Ryan called me in a fit of rage,” Taylor tells Maci in a sneak peek clip shared by MTV on September 10.
“Who does that? I think we should call the cops,” Maci replies.
As Maci and Taylor consider taking legal action against Ryan, which ultimately resulted in a temporary restraining order, their co-stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are facing drama within their relationship and admit that not everything is going well between them.
“If someone asked me, ‘Are you happy in your marriage?’ I’d say, ‘Absolutely not,’” Tyler says through tears.
“Do you think that I’m blind to it all?” Catelynn asks.
Meanwhile, the third returning member of the original cast, Amber Portwood, appears to be happier than ever after welcoming her second child, son James, with boyfriend Andrew Glennon.
In addition to the returning members of the show, fans of Teen Mom OG are getting their first look at new cast members Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd. As some may know, Bristol shares her oldest son, nine-year-old Tripp with ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston, and her two youngest kids, two-year-old Sailor and 16-month-old Atlee, with ex-husband Dakota Meyer. As for Cheyenne, she shares 16-month-old daughter Ryder with former boyfriend Cory Wharton.
In the trailer, things between Cheyenne and Cory appear to be tense after he expresses frustration over Cheyenne’s boyfriend, Zach, spending more time with Ryder than he does.
Teen Mom OG season eight premieres on Monday, October 1 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
