Teen Mom OG Ryan Edwards Arrest Mugshot

New details regarding the recent arrest of former Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards have been shared.

Following news confirming the ex-reality star was back behind bars, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office released a statement about Ryan’s arrest.

According to the police department, Ryan was arrested on “Monday, July 23, 2018, by the Red Bank Police Department in Red Bank, Tennessee” and “was charged with Simple Possession of Heroin.”

Unfortunately for Ryan, he will remain in jail for weeks as he was granted no bond.

The statement reads that he “is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail under a No Bond” until he “is scheduled to appear in Red Bank Court on August 6th, 2018.”

Ryan was first arrested for possession of heroin in March of last year when he was caught with the drug, as well as 14 hypodermic needles, one of which was loaded with heroin. One year later, Ryan was in custody again for petition to revoke due to the March 2017 drug arrest.

He got six months probation with random drug tests in between.

Days ago, after confirming he and wife Mackenzie Standifer would not be appearing on the eighth season of Teen Mom OG, Ryan took to his Instagram page where he spoke of his addiction struggles and slammed MTV for failing to show who he really is.

“I will never stop speaking out against this horrible disease! It consumes your life and turns you into someone even you don’t know. I’m asking you to never give up. Each day is a struggle. I’ve made mistakes and I have really messed up in the past but there is so much hope ahead and it doesn’t mean I can’t change the future. If you or someone you know needs help, please don’t hesitate to go SAMHSA.gov. Help is out there,” he wrote.

“Don’t take everything you see on MTV as factual truth. They don’t want to show me or Mack in a happy light or that I am active in my recovery. I AM,” he continued. “They want me to look angry, passive aggressive and uncaring regarding things that mean the most to me. I’m done taking their shit and letting the world believe this by standing up for myself. You’re believing a lie. And soon… very very soon, you WILL see the TRUTH behind the LIAR.”

Ryan is currently expecting his second child, a son, this October with wife Mackenzie.
