Teen Mom OG Ryan Edwards Arrested Again

Ryan Edwards is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

After proclaiming that he is a “recovering addict” and slamming MTV for failing to showcase him as such on Teen Mom OG, the former reality star was arrested at his Tennessee home.

On Monday night (July 23), Ryan was arrested and “booked on previous charge or other reason” at the Hamilton County Jail and held with no bond. Although there are not many details available in regard to what exactly that previous charge or other reason was, the Inmate Information System explained that Ryan’s charge was listed as “possession of controlled substance.”

No bond has been set for Ryan, 30, and he currently remains in jail.

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup site was the first site to break this news.

In his latest mugshot, Ryan, who is expecting his second child in October with wife Mackenzie Standifer, is sporting salt-n-pepper hair and a very stern gaze.

Ryan will address his recent arrest in court on August 6.

Ryan’s arrest comes just days after he and Mackenzie confirmed to E! News that they would not be a part of the upcoming eighth season of Teen Mom OG. According to the couple, MTV didn’t want to include Ryan’s story of recovery on their show and after Maci Bookout allegedly threatened to leave if they didn’t quit filming Ryan and his family, MTV reportedly gave him and Mackenzie the boot.

“The network told us they don’t want to show Ryan as a recovering addict,” Mackenzie said.

“They also want to take Maci’s word on how I’m doing,” Ryan added. “Maci’s said she’s not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I’m sober.”

As Teen Mom OG fans will recall, Ryan was also arrested in March after violating his probation with a past charge of simple possession of heroin.
